#AceMediaNews – Oct.09: Disney-Pixar have just announced some important information on Toy Story 4 and there’s good news and bad news for fans.
The good news is that the highly-anticipated movie finally has a release date, but the bad news is that it’s not coming out until June 2018.
Talk about giving with one hand and taking with the other.
Toy Story 4 was originally slated to hit screens in June 2017, however this has now been pushed back a year and Cars 3 has been given its original release slot.
Fans will have to wait longer than expected to see the fourth installment ( Picture: Disney/Pixar)
The studio have also revealed release dates for The Incredibles 2 (June 21, 2019) and Finding Dory, the follow-up to 2003’s Finding Nemo (June 17, 2016).
The news comes just weeks after director John Lasseter revealed that the fourth installment of the Toy Story series will feature a romance between two popular characters – Woody and Bo Peep.
Toy Story fans will remember that Bo Peep (voiced by Ghostbusters star Annie Potts) was absent from the third movie, but it sounds like she’ll be back with a bang in Toy Story 4.
Not much else is known about the film other that Lasseter, who directed the first two films, is returning to the director’s chair and Woody and Buzz (voiced by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen) will definitely be back.
The first Toy Story was released in 1995, with the follow-up hitting screens in 2000 and the third movie in 2010.
