Editor says ……………….I am today taking time out from all my news sharing to provide an insight in a debate l am now listening to brought by a labour minister in parliament: Simply called Health & Social Care: So far many who want to use social care and those brave people of the NHS as a bandwagon to get more money thrown at everything ….which for certain areas l have no problem:
But these over paid MP’s salaries plus expenses earning £300.00 per day just to sit in the chamber many have never done a care job in their life or worked in a home try to minster to us the public: Now instead of saying to our government we want more of this and that ………..why not spend some of that taxpayers money you get and provide help and guidance to their constituents:
Ideas: Set up a debt counselling session, discuss help by contacting local supermarkets and sort out food provisions, one of the same as many end up in debt unable to provide food for their children due to bad money management: Not all don’t shoot the messenger but l met many years ago …..excuses were we had a holiday but missed paying the mortgage now we are going to be thrown on the street: Thus homeless increased:
I as some people know worked in finance and getting people debt free without borrowing more money …..then social care and looking after all aspects of toileting etc: So l have a broad knowledge of what our system needs:
More soon if you want to provide comments and your views thanks Ian God Bless 🙏’s
Editor says ……..We now here after years of many families putting their elderly mothers and fathers in homes so they can continue working and enjoying life, while someone else looks after their …Now so called loved ones now that #coronavirus has taken its toll……….Before this #pandemic not many bothered about the care workers lot or wether many were low paid, or had good working conditions …..Now its different …………..Now they are heroes and should be paid a proper wage (whatever that is) …….
Clearing up faeces or vomit or feeding someone who, spits, bites or scratches and your told that’s dementia and you do it because that’s care ……..
So let me tell ALL of you reading this ……being a carer is LOVE not MONEY its from the HEART not the POCKET its not about being a HERO or being CLAPPED its what YOU do or DON’T do and you do it for NO REWARD its just who you are………
I did it for 11yrs both in care homes and then in the community for my mother and l ask nothing for that says that l ‘ honour my mother and father ‘ who asked when he died to always take care of her ‘ during the last few years before she died l gave up working and lived on just what we could between us ……….I ask for NO pat on the back or thanks …for me its was the right thing to do ……..and always will be…..
So ask those who have worked in it and want nothing in other than to care for others as they would care for their ‘ Mother & Thy Father ‘
Editor says……….Before many people apply blame in this #pandemic ……………..l have both research information from both parts of the U.K. firstly locally in Warwickshire one particular home group that has not one case and has applied all measures and also provides total PPE protection including scrubs and from another care provider who has told me and visits homes in parts of the North that advises of total lack of protecting care home residents
This is a tale of two parts and the government is under immense pressure to provide all that’s needed to satisfy everyone …but its up to all of us to do our part and not blame it on others without first checking the facts:
Be safe friends, Readers and Followers God Bless 🙏’s
June has certainly been a busy month in the WordPress community — aside from holding the largest WordPress event ever, the project has hit a number of significant milestones and published some big announcements this past month.
A Wrap for WordCamp Europe 2019
WordCamp Europe 2019 took place on June 20-22. It was the largest WordPress event ever, with 3,260 tickets sold and 2,734 attendees. The attendees came from 97 different countries and 1,722 of them had never attended WordCamp Europe before.
The event featured 60 speakers who delivered talks and workshops on a variety of topics over two conference days, most notablyMatt Mullenweg’s keynote that included an update on the current status of WordPress Core development, along with a lively Q&A session. The full session from the live stream isavailable to watch online.
A proposal this monthsuggested bringing XML sitemap generation into WordPress Core. This is a feature that has traditionally been handled by plugins, which has resulted in many different implementations across different sites. It also means that many sites do not have XML sitemaps, which can be a problem because they are hugely important to having your site correctly indexed by search engines.
The proposal details how core sitemaps would be structured and how the team would build them, as well as what aspects of WordPress would not be considered appropriate information to be included.
On June 18,v5.2.2 of WordPress was releasedas a maintenance release, fixing 13 bugs and improving the Site Health feature that was first published in v5.2. If your site has not already been automatically updated to this version, you candownload the updateor manually check for updates in your WordPress dashboard. Thanks toJB Audras,Justin Ahinon, andMary Baumfor co-leading this release, as well as the 30 other individuals who contributed to it.
On June 27,e2e (end to end) testing was introducedto WordPress and included in the continuous integration pipeline. E2e testing, which has been successfully used by Gutenberg, is used to simulate real user scenarios and validate process flows. Currently, the setup requiresDockerto run, and a number of e2e test utilities are already available in the @wordpress/e2e-test-utilspackage, in the Gutenberg repository.
Following aproposal for theme feature repositories, anupdate to the features package was announced. Two new packages have been created that require code review and testing. The first is an Autoload Package, a foundational package for theme developers who are not currently using Composer (althoughComposeris recommended instead of this package). The second is a Customizer Section Button Package that allows theme authors to create a link/button to any URL.

Could be we feel powerless, maybe we’re just so used to being lied to, we’ve got consumer Stockholm Syndrome.Whatever the reason, it’ll only get worse. In The Game of Life(https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/03/25/welcome-to-your-life/)you encounter obstacles, but at least there’s a chance to win; who thinks in this checkered world, the game is permanently fixed?
You’ll die. I’ll die. None of us gets out alive. We didn’t ask to be here. Hopefully we had some good times along the way, but we’re all going to die, one way or another. Don’t have to like it; there it is. Someday you’ll blow out the last candle on your birthday cake. Answer a door to a Mister Death, something about the reaping. Go gentle into that good night or rage against it, but don’t just kill time getting there. Until then, hope you have the time of your life.
I have always been me and despite many attempts to make me not me, I still seem to manage to be me. That’s not always a good thing. Read some of my stuff, comment, critique, praise, ignore, puzzle, or just do whatever you want. That’s my blog bio entitled, “Very Me”; has been since 2013…
Taylor Swift’s song, ME! is making ME rethink my Very Me title, so I’m running a contest to help ME pick a new blog bio title, with no prizes whatsoever, except knowing you’ve helped ME!

Connection comes with risk. Always has, always will. Connecting offers up our minds, hearts, who we are, who we want to be, who we don’t want to be – all wide open! Connection has many benefits: love, happiness, acceptance, companionship…but there’s a flip side, we also open ourselves to: rejection, disappointment, ridicule, pain, and a whole other host of suffering.
Do the best you can
until you know better.
when you know better,
I’m wrong a lot,
no, maybe wrong
is the wrong word.
I’m on a persistent path of change.
Sometimes I want that change.
Sometimes I don’t.
Sometimes I’m not even aware
things have changed until…well,
that’s another story for another day.
None of this means we should stop trying to connect. Connect cautiously.
Beware, connection machines like: Taylor Swift,
all the sundry Kardashians/Jenners, Kanye West, Ariana Grande,
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson,
various ‘Royals’, Jordan Peele (new Twilight Zone, nice and out there), Beyonce,
each and every Marvel hero and villain
Anyone see or want to see Avengers: Endgame?
Now waiting for Toy Story 4? The Big Bang Theory or Game of Thrones finales? (The Big Game of Thrones Bang Theory?)
They always have us waiting for something; Disney, Apple, McDonald’s,
Toyota, Microsoft, Wendy’s,
Visa, Post, Nike, Samsung, ACME, Kraft, Mastercard,
BMW, Trump, LG, Walmart,
Sony, Burger King,
Warner Bros, etc. –
are all about selling.
People love the rich and famous (or simply infamous), or hate them (or love to hate them), often for all the same reasons, and pay way too much attention to them and way too much money (even money they don’t have) to be like them. Connection should bring us together for the greater good not just to make us want to buy more goods.
Social media whips people into a frenzy of, er, frothy connection with a cultivated, data-driven mix of: exaggerated praise, repetition, cruel attacks, misunderstandings, FOMO, repetition, deliberately aggressive language, SEO, influencers, native advertising, gossip, repetition, etc. True connection isn’t about massive numbers, they might be impressive, but what do they really mean?
People are people,
no matter their title,
or what they use to connect.
your connections to make.
Like blogging, you put an offering
of your mind and heart
into a blog post,
trying for a real connection. Good stuff: readers feeling something (yeah!!!),
comments, follows, shares, likes. Bad stuff: readers feeling something (shudder!!!),
rude comments, unfollows, threats.
Sometimes, simply silence, like digital crickets (in blogspace no one can hear you blogscream).
Newsflash, you can’t get any connection without beginning. If you want to connect, find people with common interests, start a club, join a club, (except a serial killer club, skip that meeting and report it); find people you’d like to know, not just those you think you should know. If you want to blog, write a blog post. Publish it (this part is super important). Connect with other bloggers, readers, etc.
Here are a few of my past, umm, attempts at connection…
I really don’t mind
if you want to send ME
(trying to sound
cool about it, but…
I love free stuff!).
I gratefully accept
but respectfully reserve
the right to decide whether
said promotional material
are suitable for my blog.
100% honest reviews
and the opinions,
thoughts, and beliefs
will be my own,
not that of the provider,
party, or manufacturer.
Donations also gratefully accepted (but certainly not required) to offset blogging (not chocolate) costs. Help save the endangered broke and obscure bloggers who once roamed the internet free. It’s Paypal, for anyone including, but not limited to eccentric billionaires who want to adopt a broke and obscure blogger.
Bloggers struggling (like ME!) with the new “Block” or “Gutenberg” Editor on WordPress, yes, it’s difficult, if anyone tells you differently they have a Premium account, are a computer genius or maybe they’re a computer!
Is it worth it? I don’t see it. Classic Editor, basic and awkward, yes, but this is waaaaaaay more time-consuming.
Easier for those new to WP, ha, like they care, we’re all just lab rats in their data experiments. Wish they’d bring back the editor from 2013 – fast, easy, so very very easy. I did this post as a test, what do you think dear readers, stay with this or go back to the Classic?
Goodbye Peter Mayhew,
forever in our hearts
as Chewbacca. “GGGWARRRHHWWWW.”
Indeed, words to live by.
On Star Wars Day
(isn’t that every day?) May The Fourth Be With You
(and Happy Revenge of the Fifth,
though I prefer to
celebrate on May 6th,
after Cinco de Mayo,
makes more sense).
Hope each day
treats you kindly.
There are two ways to test the latest WordPress 5.2 beta: try the WordPress Beta Tester plugin (you’ll want to select the “bleeding edge nightlies” option), or you can download the beta here (zip).
WordPress 5.2 is slated for release on April 30, and we need your help to get there! Thanks to the testing and feedback from everyone who tried beta 2, nearly 40 tickets have been closed since then. Here are the major changes and bug fixes:
• The new Site Health feature has continued to be refined.
• Plugins no longer update if a site is running an unsupported version of PHP (see #46613).
• It’s now more apparent when a site is running in Recovery Mode (see #46608).
• The distraction free button no longer breaks keyboard navigation in the Classic Editor (see #46640).
• Assistive technologies do a better job of announcing admin bar sub menus (see #37513).
• Subject lines in WordPress emails are now more consistent (see #37940).
• Personal data exports now only show as completed when a user downloads their data (see #44644).
• Plus more improvements to accessibility (see #35497 and #42853).
Important reminder: as of WordPress 5.2 beta 2, the minimum PHP version that WordPress will require is 5.6.20. If you’re running an older version of PHP, we highly recommend updating it now, before WordPress 5.2 is officially released.
