USA Sent Out ‘Defcon 1′ Alert To US Public – Biggest US Threat There Can Be!

What is going on here if ONLY the President of the USA can order this message in the event of Nuclear War or say, Ebola Pandemic?

By Shaun Gibson : @ShaunyNews

I heard on the radio news that ONLY the President or his appointee could send this alert out! I am not sure what to make of it either unless they are testing but why? This was a DEFCON 1 alert! Many people watching TV or Radio on Friday in the USA had the highest US Warning system shown or spoken to them. This is the alert and nobody knows why it happened. I am told this was a test or real test for Ebola. Ebola, I am told has hit the USA in a bigger way than reporting. Nurses and Dr’s have hinted so. I did this earlier Sunday morning. What was this Nurse saying? What is going on here if ONLY the President of the USA can order this message in the event of Nuclear War or say, Ebola Pandemic? https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/2014/10/26/us-ebola-nurse-slams-re-entry-to-the-usa-quarantine-process/ The last thing I want to do is scare people, but the reason/excuse for this that a ‘DJ Sent the message out by mistake” is utter nonsense. I have sent the last hour checking and double checking and only by Presidential authority can this message be relayed to TV and Radio. How can radio impact anything on TV? It can’t. That means the problem originated from a centralized point elsewhere and the explanation is a bunch of BS.

I checked and triple checked, ONLY the President, as you can see in this Official Government site http://www.ready.gov/alerts and the copy from the official page below. I research HARD! Here is more official rules here https://www.fema.gov/emergency-alert-system and http://emergencyalertsystem.wikia.com/wiki/Emergency_Action_Notification

  • The Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS), is a modernization and integration of the nation’s existing and future alert and warning systems, technologies, and infrastructure.
  • IPAWS’ EAS is the message dissemination pathway that sends warnings via broadcast, cable, satellite, and wireline services. EAS may be used by state and local authorities, in cooperation with the broadcast community, to deliver important emergency information, such as weather information, AMBER alerts, and local incident information targeted to specific areas.
  • The Emergency Alert System (EAS) is a national public warning system that requires broadcasters, satellite digital audio service and direct broadcast satellite providers, cable television systems, and wireless cable systems to provide the President with a communications capability to address the American people within 10 minutes during a national emergency.
  • The President has sole responsibility for determining when the national-level EAS will be activated. FEMA is responsible for national-level EAS tests and exercises.
  • EAS is also used when all other means of alerting the public are unavailable, providing an added layer of resiliency to the suite of available emergency communication tools.

For more information on the Emergency Alert System, download the EAS fact sheet or visit http://www.fema.gov/emergency-alert-system.

The FOX 5 Newsroom received multiple calls from concerned AT&T U-Verse customers Friday after an emergency message appeared on their screens. The message, claiming to be an emergency alert issued by The White House, notified viewers that their programming was being re-directed to another channel. The alert is part of the EAN or Emergency Alert Notification. Engineers with FOX 5 say the alert can only be activated by the President in times of emergency. U-Verse engineers tell FOX 5 staff the message appeared on screens around Atlanta, Dallas, Michigan and Austin, Texas. Callers from across the FOX 5 viewing area reported the message. There are no known actual emergency alerts that would have prompted activation of the government’s Emergency Alert Notification System, which is used by broadcasters and the government to warn of emergency situations. Statement from AT&T: “Earlier today U-verse TV customers may have received an Emergency Alert notification. We have confirmed that there is no emergency at this time and we are investigating why this occurred. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

This appeared on US TV. Who seen it?

TV channels automatically changed to local news stations but no White House message ever came, prompting confusion and concern, especially given heightened tensions amidst the Ebola crisis. The message was seen by viewers in Austin, Atlanta, Detroit and across North Carolina, as well as other areas of the country.  WSOC-TV out of Charlotte, North Carolina later posted a statement on their website saying they would investigate why the message went out, indicating TV and radio stations were given no advance notice of the test. An AT&T spokesperson later indicated that that the alert notification was sent out erroneously. “Earlier today, U-verse TV customers may have received an Emergency Alert notification. We confirmed that there is no emergency at this time and we are investigating why this occurred. We apologize for any inconvenience,” read the statement.

However, the Emergency Alert System is mandatory by law – stations have no control or power to block the signal once it is sent out by the federal government. Broadcasters are required to install and maintain FCC-certified EAS decoders and encoders at their control points, meaning the signal cannot be switched off or interrupted. How sensible is it that the feds ‘mistakenly’ sent out an emergency alert – potentially causing panic – amidst national concerns about the Ebola outbreak in the United States? Back in 2011, a similar test of the emergency alert system, in this case for cellphones, went awry when residents were told that a “civil emergency” was in progress and that they should “take shelter,” prompting 911 lines to be flooded by panicked callers. Authorities later apologized, claiming the test was a mistake. Did you see today’s emergency alert message? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

2 Americans, 1 Spanish Nurse Cured Of Ebola, As Sign’s Of World Pandemic Slow

Ashoka Mukpo is thankful for the treatment that saved his life

Ashoka Mukpo is thankful for the treatment that saved his life

By Shaun Gibson : @ShaunyNews

Well it looks like Ebola is calming down very fast in the USA, THANKFULLY! No reports now in 5 days since President Obama asked the Media to calm down with every story of a person sick on a plane and other stories, frightening people and giving people like me Ebola news to write about. https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/2014/10/19/obama-warns-americans-against-ebola-hysteria/ Pretty much since that speech, there have been not one new report or scare. This is good, 2 Countries in Africa, Senegal and Nigeria are now Ebola free Countries, so I think we, as a World have beaten Ebola. I hope I am not speaking too soon. In West Africa a few Countries are still struggling badly, so we remain vigilant, but this here is fantastic news anyway you tell it, lets hope and pray this trend continues over the coming weeks, we must however still listen to the CDC and W.H.O The World Health Organisation said just 10 days ago it will spread worse.

W.H.O and CDC Have both said in the last 10/14 days Ebola will spread to around 10,000 infected a day

A photojournalist has been cured of Ebola as the United States tightens restrictions on travellers from West African countries. Ashoka Mukpo, who was working as a freelance cameraman for NBC News in Monrovia, Liberia, when he fell ill, will go home on Wednesday. In a statement, the 33-year-old American said he was humbled by his recovery.

“Too many are not as fortunate and lucky as I’ve been. I’m very happy to be alive.”

Eight people including Mr Mukpo have or are being treated for ebola in the US; one of whom, a man from Liberia, has died.

One of the two nurses infected with the virus while treating a Liberian patient in Dallas is now faring better, the National Institutes of Health said on Tuesday.

Nina Pham’s condition has been upgraded from fair to good. Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, which is treating the second nurse, Amber Vinson, has so far has not given an update on her condition. Her mother said she remained weak, without offering further details. The stories of recovery came amid news that passengers travelling to the US from three West African countries must enter the country through one of five airports. The designated airports are New York’s Kennedy, Newark Liberty, Washington’s Dulles, Chicago’s O’Hare and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta. Each of these hospitals implemented enhanced ebola screenings earlier this month. Government officials said about 94% of the estimated 150 daily passengers from the stricken region pass through those five airports. Homeland Security chief Jeh Johnson said the decision was based on the department’s “ongoing response to prevent the spread of Ebola to the United States”.

Ebola crisis: Spanish nurse Teresa Romero cured of virus after final test clears her

Spanish Nurse Teresa Romero is cured from Ebola

A Spanish nurse who was the first person to catch Ebola outside Africa has been cured of the deadly virus according to doctors treating her. “She is now cured,” Dr Jose Ramon Arribas, head of Madrid’s Carlos III Hospital’s infectious diseases unit, told reporters. The diagnosis of Teresa Romero, 44, on October 6 sparked fears that the disease would spread through Europe. But Dr Arribas gave the nurse the all clear and declared “the criteria set by the World Health Organisation for curing the Ebola virus have been fulfilled”. She has had two negative tests in the past 48 hours indicating she was now clear of Ebola, after being in isolation in hospital since contracting the disease.

Ms Romero was one of the nursing staff at the Carlos III hospital who treated two elderly Spanish missionaries who caught the disease in West Africa and died in Madrid in August and September. It is believed she was given human serum containing antibodies from Ebola survivors and other drugs. Despite being cleared she will remain in hospital until she has fully recovered. Ms Romero’s husband Javier Limon and another 14 people who had contact with her before she was diagnosed are under observation at the hospital but none has yet shown symptoms. Dr Arribas said a specialist laboratory confirmed that a fourth and final round of tests had shown her to be clear of the virus.

The news sparked relief after two tense weeks which raised public sympathy for the nurse and questions about safety procedures and public spending cuts in Spain’s health sector. “Someone surviving the Ebola virus is always a cause for celebration,” said Marta Arsuaga, one of the doctors who have been working round the clock treating Ms Romero. Dr Arribas said that according to WHO guidelines, officials will have to wait until 42 days after the curing of the last infected patient to declare the country free of Ebola. Ebola, which begins with fever and can then escalate to diarrhoea, vomiting, internal bleeding and organ failure, has killed more than 4,500 people.

US funnels travellers from Ebola-hit nations to five airports

Meanwhile, a US photojournalist infected with Ebola in Liberia is now free of the virus and will go home, the Nebraska hospital treating him said. “Recovering from Ebola is a truly humbling feeling,” said Ashoka Mukpo, who was working as a freelance cameraman for NBC News in Monrovia when he fell ill. Travellers entering the United States whose trips originated in Ebola-stricken Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea must now fly into one of five airports that have enhanced screening in place. The restrictions will subject affected travellers to temperature tests among other protocols at New York’s JFK, New Jersey’s Newark, Washington Dulles, Atlanta and Chicago’s O’Hare international airports. Those airports account for about 94 per cent of the passengers flying to the United States from the Ebola-hit nations. The restrictions, announced by the US department of homeland security, will take effect from Wednesday (US time) and apply to all travellers, including US citizens and those who would have arrived by land or sea.

US health authorities said the condition of a nurse infected with Ebola has been upgraded to good. Nina Pham was one of two nurses in Dallas who became infected with Ebola while treating Liberian patient Thomas Duncan, who died of the disease on October 8. “Ms Pham’s clinical status has been upgraded from fair to good,” the National Institutes of Health said in a statement. No additional details were available at this time, it added. Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, which is treating the second nurse, Amber Vinson, so far has not given an update on her condition. Her mother said on Monday she remained weak, without offering further details.

‘Who’s the idiot with the clipboard?’ Disbelief and panic as mystery man WITHOUT a hazmat suit

By Shaun Gibson @ShaunyNews

‘Who’s the idiot with the clipboard?’ Disbelief and panic as mystery man WITHOUT a hazmat suit helps second Ebola nurse board her plane to Atlanta, disposes waste and then climbs aboard

Is he with the CDC? Both the ambulance company and Emory University Hospital said the unprotected man with the clipboard (center) is not one of their employees - meaning he is likely a CDC employee Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2794854/what-thinking-mystery-man-without-hazmat-suit-seen-helping-2nd-ebola-nurse-board-plane-atlanta-joining-them.html#ixzz3GKgbbXCZ

Is he with the CDC? Both the ambulance company and Emory University Hospital said the unprotected man with the clipboard (center) is not one of their employees – meaning he is likely a CDC employee

  • Man casually dressed in shirt and pants seen on TV walking with Ebola patient Amber Vinson
  • He carried a clipboard and walked alongside Ms Vinson and healthcare workers who were ALL dressed in hazmat suits
  • He has been identified as a supervisor for Phoenix Air, the company that flew Miss Vinson to Atlanta
  • Miss Vinson walked onto the plane in Dallas and the man without protection also boarded the plane, flying with her to Atlanta, Georgia
  • Social media has dubbed him the ‘clipboard man’ – expressing shock that he came so close to an infected patient and unprotected

As news helicopters swarmed over Dallas’ Love Field on Wednesday evening to watch the second U.S. nurse to contract Ebola board a private plane bound for Atlanta, one lone mysterious man stood out from the pack. Holding a clipboard and directing the transfer, the unidentified man seemed to be the only person on the tarmac without protective clothing, wearing just a button down shirt and slacks. While Ebola is not an airborne disease, his presence so close to patient Amber Vinson’s medical team sparked fears after he was seen grabbing a container and hazmat trash bag from one of the workers’ in full-protective gear and later boarding the flight.  He then flew with Vinson and the other hazmat-suited medical staff to Atlanta and local television crews spotted him with the stricken nurse as she disembarked at the airport in Georgia to be transferred to Emory University Hospital. US Media reports that the man is a supervisor for Phoenix Air, the company that flew Miss Vinson from Dallas to Atlanta. When the plane landed in Atlanta, the man had still not donned any protective clothing and was seen openly interacting with Vinson and the other medical professionals caring for the nurse.

Members of the public watching were struck with disbelief at the man’s decision to throw caution to the wind. ‘He needs to be put on watch the second the plane lands so he does not infect anyone in Atlanta. This needs to be contained and I for one will be ticked of I hear a report next week that he is the next victim!’ Dean Pitts wrote on NBC Dallas’ website. Phoenix Air, which operates the special air ambulances that  have also flown all five American Ebola patients from West African to the US, claimed the unprotected man actually made the process safer. ‘Our medical professionals in the biohazard suits have limited vision and mobility and it is the protocol supervisor’s job to watch each person carefully and give them verbal directions to insure no close contact protocols are violated,’ a Phoenix Air spokesman told ABC. ‘There is absolutely no problem with this and in fact insures an even higher level of safety for all involved.’

A CDC spokesman told KTVT that they didn’t think anything was wrong with the interaction since he ‘kept a safe distance’. Miss Vinson’s flight landed in Atlanta around 7:45pm Eastern Time. Social media was as equally impressed as they were dumbfounded by the man who has quickly become known as ‘clipboard man’ online. Dan Hevia said what many shocked viewers must have immediately thought when they saw the brave or foolhardy individual when he wrote, ‘I’d like to know who the dude with the clipboard is so I can avoid him. C’mon! Another incredulous witness was staggered, asking, ‘My infectious disease training may be a bit limited but fairly sure that clipboard isn’t Ebola proof.’ Others went straight to the heart of the matter, with Lib Media Exposed asking, ‘Who’s the idiot who thinks all the protection he needs from Ebola is a f******’ clipboard?’ Another Twitter user, Luke Murray pointed out that ‘clipboard man’ might be the recipient of a dubious prize, should the worst come to the worst. ‘So much for protocols,’ wrote Lurray. ‘Clipboard dude in the pic with nurse 2 is up for a Dawrin Award should something happen to him.’ The mystery man on the tarmac is just the latest questionable practice highlighted in the CDC’s handling of the Ebola outbreak in America, which started when Liberian patient Thomas Eric Duncan was initially turned away from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital last month after reporting a high fever.

1413418381608_Image_galleryImage_As_coverage_of_the_transp1413418408506_wps_18_image001_png

The man with the clipboard is seen grabbing various objects from the hazmat team, raising questions about whether he could have been contaminated. Despite telling health care workers that he had recently returned from Liberia, he was not tested for Ebola, and was instead sent home with antibiotics. He returned home to his family’s apartment and continued to get worse over the next several days. It was only when he was taken to the hospital a second time, that time by ambulance, that medics discovered he had Ebola. And in the initial days of Duncan’s treatment, nurses at the Dallas hospital revealed that they were given ‘no protocols’ on how to dress when caring for the Ebola patient. That confusion led nurse Nina Pham, 26, to report to the hospital on Friday when she noticed a spike in her temperature. Just four days later, her co-worker Miss Vinson, became the second nurse at the hospital to contract the disease. The CDC is currently monitoring more than 75 health care workers at the hospital who came into contact with Duncan during his stay. He passed way from the disease last week.

The worsening Ebola problem led President Obama to abruptly cancel a planned campaign trip on Wednesday, deciding to meet with his Cabinet on the issue instead. Obama’s decision to nix the trip – just a few hours before Air Force One was scheduled to depart – reflected the urgency facing the administration amid the American public’s escalating concerns about potential spread of the virus.

Press secretary Josh Earnest said on Wednesday that Obama still had confidence in CDC Director Tom Frieden. However, the president admitted that Ebola needs to be fought in a ‘much more aggressive way’. ‘What we’ve been doing here is reviewing exactly what we know about what’s happened in Dallas,’ Obama said Wednesday, ‘and how we’re going to make sure that something like this is not repeated – and that we are monitoring, supervising, overseeing in a much more aggressive way exactly what has taken place in Dallas initially, and making sure that the lessons learned are then transmitted to hospitals and clinics all across the country.’  This comes as President Barack Obama pledged on Wednesday to approach new cases of the Ebola virus in a ‘much more aggressive way,’ signaling that his administration hasn’t already been doing all it can to slow the advance of the deadly contagion. As pressure grows on the administration to explain how it has failed to contain the disease in Texas, the president said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would launch a ‘rapid response SWAT team’ within 24 hours whenever a new case is confirmed.

The CDC team, he said, will ‘take local hospitals step by step through what needs to be done.’ Obama’s comments to the press came after a hastily called all-hands-on-deck cabinet meeting that lasted two hours and pre-empted a pair of planned political campaign appearances in New Jersey and Connecticut. The president’s promise to get more serious about Ebola mirrors a vow on Monday from CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden, who said his agency would ‘double down’ on disease surveillance and interventions.

6 New Patients Allegedly Infected With Ebola in NYC, USA – IT’S AIRBORN! !

We look to the Georgia Guidestones here for a start. The warning was there. I have no idea what the agenda is, they why’s or how’s. All I know for sure is EBOLA is Airborn and rampant in the USA as well as Africa with rumours still about China. Hard to get news out of China.

As health officials downplay concerns about an Ebola outbreak in the US, six people have been quietly tested across the country for the deadly virus, according to a report. In addition to patients isolated in New York, Atlanta and Ohio, there were six other patients tested without the public’s knowledge, according to a CNN report . The tests were negative. “There have been about a half a dozen patients who have had their blood tested because of concern, those particular patients their stories were not made public,” said CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta. “I’m not sure if that’s because of heightened concern by the hospital or what that means exactly.” City and state health department officials said that only one patient has been tested for the disease in New York. He has been isolated since Monday. Results could come back Wednesday.

From AM TV

From Daboo7

“The patient, who remains in isolation, was stable overnight and in good spirits,” a hospital statement said. “No other patients have presented with similar symptoms and travel history to West Africa. We will continue to work closely with federal, state and city health officials to address and monitor this case, keep the community informed and provide the best quality care to all of our patients.” The Mt. Sinai case has other hospital patients on edge. “I’m kind of suspect about going in here right now,” said Willie Westone, 37, of Harlem, who brought his 6-year-old son to the emergency room with a stomach bug. “A guy walks in here with Ebola. I’m not a fan of this, but my son needs medicine. I’m trying to get his paperwork transferred. I can’t take any risks like this.” Meanwhile, a woman in Columbus, Ohio, was tested for the Ebola virus after returning from a trip to a West African country plagued by the outbreak, according to NBC. The woman, 46, was in isolation at a local hospital after showing symptoms of the disease. Her test came back negative.

Medical teams have been on high alert since a missionary working in Liberia contracted the disease and came to the US for treatment. Kent Brantly, 33, a doctor, was immediately isolated in an Atlanta hospital Saturday. A second Ebola-stricken worker, nurse Nancy Writebol, 58, was isolated in the same ward Tuesday. Officials said they both showed improvement after being treated with an experimental drug that had been tested only with mice. Brantly and Writebol are being treated by infectious disease specialists at Emory University Hospital, according to Christian missionary group SIM USA.
