PARIS TERROR ATTACK: NATO MEMBER ACCUSES ‘US AND ISRAEL’ OF INVOLVEMENT

Why would NATO say this?

Why would NATO say this?

I have said many times I believe America runs, owns, funds and has a hand in ISIS and Al Qaeda and I had proof. Now the UN and many Countries are looking to the USA and Israel, two countries I have said many times are standing alone almost in the International community, I think I have posted enough proof or part proof to show America is the enemy here. I asked a few times “Who is the real enemy in our World” Now should you read the links below I done and watch the video below you will see parts of a puzzle falling into place, a puzzle I can see and have seen, we have choice what we believe through research or we live like sheep, you decide, I am happy with my research. Keep in mind, France and French President Francois Hollande asked Benjamin Netanyahu to NOT turn up at the French walk for the dead in the attack. This has potential to be HUGE. How many NATO members think the USA and Israel are controlling ISIS as I believe they are, research and you will see it, blindly say “Impossible” you will be guessing and wrong

Aaron Nelson (The Pontiac Tribune) — Turkish President Erdogan has suggested French authorities likely knew of the Paris terror attack in advance, believing that they are partly responsible for the Charlie Hebdo shootings. Being a current member of NATO, Turkey’s accusation that the West is “playing games with the Islamic world” is being taken seriously by many as a warning to Muslims around the world. Shouldn’t we be asking questions such as ‘who benefits from the Charlie Hebdo attack’? It’s certainly not Muslims.

Turkey has a large standing army, the 2nd largest of all NATO members (behind the US), and Turkish intelligence agencies have always cooperated with the United States since unleashing an undefined global ‘War on Terror‘. “The West’s hypocrisy is obvious. As Muslims we have never sided with terror or massacres: racism, hate speech, Islamophobia are behind these massacres

he culprits are clear: French citizens undertook this massacre and Muslims were blamed for it.”

The culprits are clear: French citizens undertook this massacre and Muslims were blamed for it.”

Erdogan also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for attending the 3.5 million person rally in France on Sunday with more than 40 other world leaders. “How can a man who has killed 2,500 people in Gaza with state terrorism wave his hand in Paris, like people are waiting in excitement for him to do so?” he explained.

The Mayor of Ankara(Turkey), Melih Gokcek, suspects the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad was behind the attack. Gokcek links the Charlie Hebdo shootings to an unexpected recent move by France to recognize Palestine, for which Netanyahu publicly warned France against doing and threatened that such a move would be a “grave mistake“. “Mossad is definitely behind such incidents… it is boosting enmity towards Islam,” Mr. Gokcek said of last week’s terror attack in Paris.

Last Monday French President Hollande asked for Western sanctions on Russia to be lifted and two days later, Paris was attacked. Following the Charlie Hebdo shootings last week, Ali Sahin, a member of Turkey’s parliament, provided 8 reasons why he suspected the killings were staged so that “the attack could be blamed on Muslims and Islam”. The Turkish president did not attend the march, though Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu participated.

Sibel Edmonds Explains the CIA’s “Reverse Engineering” of Erdogan
Via corbettreport on You Tube

A year ago when FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds recognized the growing division between Erdogan and ‘the West’ before the major shift was apparent to most geopolitical experts, she predicted the ‘CIA puppet leader‘ would soon become an enemy of the United States. When Turkey cancelled a major deal to purchase over $2 billion in weapons from the US and bought them from China instead, intelligence analysts from around the world took notice of the feud and began paying attention to this developing narrative.

Edmonds explained that Erdogan would soon have to choose from the following:

1. IMMEDIATELY BACK OFF AND REPENT LOUDLY.

2. QUIETLY RESIGN AND DISAPPEAR FROM TURKEY THE SAME WAY CIA PUPPET AND FORMER EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT MUBARAK DID IN 2011 TO SAVE HIS OWN LIFE.

3. CONTINUE TO CHALLENGE THE US AND BE REMOVED FROM POWER THE SAME WAY TWO OTHER CIA PUPPETS, GADDAFI IN LIBYA AND HUSSEIN IN IRAQ, WERE DISPOSED OF.

This is what happens to friends of the US who threaten to ‘spill the beans’ when they are no longer favored(or trusted) by the military industrial complex. When Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu launched airstrikes and invaded Gaza with ground troops last summer killing more than 2,400 Palestinians, it appeared Erdogan went with the 3rd option after he described ‘Operation Protective Edge‘ as “Hitler-like” and accused Israel of attempting genocide. Two months later in October, Joe Biden(a self-described Zionist) said that “our biggest problem is our allies” in responding to the civil war in Syria. He confidently explained that Erdogan admitted to him personally that Turkey allowed foreign fighters to cross into Syria.

“Our allies in the region were our largest problem in Syria,” explaining that Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE were “so determined to take down Assad,” that they started a “proxy Sunni-Shia war” by pouring “hundreds of millions of dollars and tens of thousands of tons of weapons” towards anyone who would fight against Assad. “We could not convince our colleagues to stop supplying them.”

“The Turks, who are great friends — I have a great relationship with Erdogan, whom I spend a lot of time with — the Saudis, the Emiratis

“The Turks, who are great friends — I have a great relationship with Erdogan, whom I spend a lot of time with — the Saudis, the Emiratis

“President Erdogan told me, he is an old friend, said you were right, we let too many people through, now we are trying to seal the border,” Biden said during a speech on foreign policy at Harvard Kennedy School on October 2nd, 2014. The Turkish President denied Biden’s accusation and told reporters that he “will be history for me if he has indeed used such expressions.” “I have never said to him that we had made a mistake, never. If he did say this at Harvard then he has to apologize to us.”

Joe Biden almost immediately called Erdogan by telephone and the White House issued a statement apologizing for “any implication that Turkey or other allies and partners in the region had intentionally supplied or facilitated the growth of ISIL or other violent extremists in Syria.” Graham Fuller, a former CIA station chief in Kabul, is married to the Bostom Bomber’s uncle Ruslan Tsarnaev and has spent 20 years of his life working as an operations officer for the CIA in Turkey, Germany, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

Speaking about the origin of ISIS in September, Fuller suggested Turkey is not an ISIS target because it supported the Syrian opposition. He also claims the United States is one of the key creators of ISIS. “I think the United States is one of the key creators of this organization. The United States did not plan the formation of ISIS, but its destructive interventions in the Middle East and the war in Iraq were the basic causes of the birth of ISIS. First of all, Turkey is not an ISIS target because it supported the Syrian opposition. I am sure ISIS is not delighted with Turkey, but they are not its primary target. Their priority targets are Arabs. Moreover, Erdogan, whether he is liked or not, is a product of democracy.” Mr. Fuller is correct, Arabs are the primary target of ISIS and the US was indeed arming, training and funding the Syrian opposition. Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the United States found common ground with terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda and the Nusra Front. All of these countries made it clear that they desired a total regime change in Syria.

It was just last year when a senior Council on Foreign Relations policy adviser wrote a piece recommending that the Free Syrian Army recruit terrorists. The think tank article argued they’d ‘need al-Qaeda‘ militants with battle experience(vs Americans) to win the proxy war and that there is nothing wrong with counting on al-Qaeda as an ally. The result? A year later ISIS appeared from nowhere and quickly became the most famous terrorist force in the entire world. “For the last 10 years, so-called Islamist terrorism has been under the control of one of the world’s leading intelligence agencies. I am sure that some American supervisors are responsible for the terror attacks in Paris, or in any case the Islamists who carried them out.”

Watch James Taylor Sing ‘You’ve Got a Friend’ Beside John Kerry in Paris

John Kerry (right) told Francois Hollande the US shared the pain of what France went through – Awkward hug?

By @ShaunyNews Via: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2015-01-15/kerry-going-to-paris-to-give-france-a-big-hug-after-attacks.html

Obama didn’t attend the France leaders walk of respect, I believe it was a photo chance, nothing more. Now today we see John Kerry turn up in France with a frikken singer singing “You Got a Friend on me” I spoke to a few friends and we all see this is a bit disgusting. Come late but don’t come late with a singer. These are just my thoughts. I think the crown clapping was going to happen but I think anyone with a brain will see through this. Again R.I.P to all who died on the French Streets, I didn’t like this, I felt awkward watching it as did many, but the media won’t say this, other media will.

Secretary of State John Kerry, the highest-ranking U.S. official to visit France since Islamic militant attacks in Paris left 17 dead, met with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and French President Francois Hollande to offer condolences this morning. Kerry, who said he was in France “to share a big hug with Paris,” is also set to lay wreaths at the sites of the two attacks, a State Department official said. Kerry and Hollande embraced as they met in the courtyard of the presidential palace.

“The American people watched you and your team lead with great elegance and grace, and we watched the people of France come together with great sense of purpose and unity,” Kerry said. “It was a great lesson to the world.” Kerry, who is making his 19th visit to Paris since becoming secretary of state, arrived in Paris on Thursday evening and will be joined by American singer James Taylor, a longtime friend, who will perform a song in tribute to victims of the attacks that killed 17 people.

The Obama administration has been criticized for not sending a high-level official to a march in Paris that drew about 40 world leaders and more than a million French to honor victims of the attacks centered on a satirical magazine and a kosher supermarket.

U.S. Absence

“You have known what terrorism is for years,” Hollande told Kerry at the start of the meeting. “We must therefore work together to find the necessary responses and that’s the point of today’s meeting, beyond the friendship that it represents.”

Kerry, who speaks French but was tied up with travel to India, initially dismissed the U.S. absence from the march as “quibbling.” President Barack Obama’s spokesman later said the administration had erred in not sending someone of higher rank than the U.S. ambassador to France.

Speaking in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Thursday, Kerry was asked if his presence was meant to make amends. “I don’t feel any other exigencies other than the continuation of our friendship and our responsibilities as good friends and the longest ally in our history,” he said. “That’s why I’m going.” Taylor, who’s in Paris promoting his European concert tour later this year, is a singer and songwriter known for 1970s-era songs such as “Fire and Rain” and Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend.”

New Twist: Charlie Hebdo Police Investigator Turns Up Dead, ‘Suicided’

By @ShaunyNews Via http://21stcenturywire.com/2015/01/10/new-twist-charlie-hebdo-lead-investigator-turns-up-dead-suicided/

Often when we hear a story it makes no sense at all, this one is no different. I had a bad few days with my Fibromyalgia flaring up over the weekend I missed all of this live. Only now as I look at what happened and came across this story. I have tried HARD to research about his family. The official line is he was suffering depression and took his own life. Now it can be easy to see a story in a light nobody else does, it makes NO SENSE! Why would the guy running the show via the police commit suicide in the middle of all this. I think we can say this is ‘Suspicious’ to say the least. Links below and video from a friend Daboo7 (Just to add Daboo7 is now here http://undergroundworldnews.com/) Is this guy Another Mossad victim? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mossad

WTF! Police Commissioner of Charlie Hebdo Event Found Dead!
Via Dahboo777 on You Tube

As the dust settles from this week’s terror extravaganza in France, more loose ends are turning up (or being tied up), with this latest bizarre bombshell which is already fueling speculation as to the covert nature of the Charlie Hebdo false flag affair. A police commissioner from Limoges, France, Helric Fredou, aged 45, turned up dead from a gun shot to the head on Thursday amid the Charlie Hebdo affair. A high-ranking official within the French law enforcement command-and-control structure, Fredou was also a former deputy director of the regional police service.

At the time of his death, police claim to have not known the reason for his alleged suicide. This was reflected in their official statements to the media: “It is unknown at this time the reasons forhis actions”. However, a back story appears to have been inserted simultaneously, most likely from the very same police media liaisons, who then told the press that Fredou was ‘depressed and overworked’. For any law enforcement officer in France, it would seem rather odd that anyone would want to miss the biggest single terror event in the century, or history in the making, as it were.

Here is a link to the original report in the French media, which confirms that Commissioner Fredou was indeed working on the Charlie Hebdo case:

The Fredou Commissioner, like all agents SRPJ, worked yesterday on the case of the massacre at the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo. In particular, he was investigating the family ofone of the victims. He killed himself before completing its report. A psychologicalcell’ was set upin the police station.”

Even more bizarrely, an almost identical event took place just over one year earlier, November 2013 in Limoges, when the number 3 ranked SRPJ officer had killed himself in similar circumstances, with his weapon in the police hotel. Allegedly, his colleague discovered his body. The prosecution ruled that case was a suicide too, and the police officer had left a suicide note to his family in which he expressed “personal reasons” for his surprising action.

Sputnik News
Police commissioner, who had been investigating the attack on the Charlie Hebdo magazine committed suicide with his service gun on Thursday night.
Police commissioner Helric Fredou, who had been investigating the attack on the French weekly satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, committed suicide in his office. The incident occurred in Limoges, the administrative capital of the Limousin region in west-central France, on Thursday night, local media France 3 reports. Helric Fredou, 45, suffered from ‘depression’ and experienced ‘burn out’ [according to the official statement]. Shortly before committing suicide, he met with the family of a victim of the Charlie Hebdo attack and killed himself preparing the report. Fredou began his career in 1997 as a police officer at the regional office of the judicial police of Versailles. Later he returned to Limoges, his hometown. Since 2012 he had been the deputy director of the regional police service.

“We are all shocked. Nobody was ready for such developments”, a representative of the local police union told reporters. On January 7, 2015, two gunmen burst into the editorial office of Charlie Hebdo magazine, known for issuing cartoons, ridiculing Islam. The [suspected] attackers, later identified as brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi, killed 12 people and injured 11, and escaped from the scene. Following two days of nationwide manhunt, the suspects were killed on Friday by French police some 20 miles northeast of Paris.

Hollande asked Netanyahu not to attend Paris memorial march

Absence sought as part of attempt to keep Israeli-Palestinian conflict out of European show of unity; After Netanyahu insisted on coming, French made it clear Abbas would be invited as well.

So France don’t want Israel to come to this march? A march against terror. I wonder why this is? Could it be Israel are committing acts of Terror in Palestine? I am guessing of course

French President Francois Hollande conveyed a message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the weekend asking him not to come to Paris to take part in the march against terror on Sunday, according to an Israeli source who was privy to the contacts between the Elysees Palace and the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. The fact that this message had been conveyed was first reported by Channel 2.

After the French government began to send invitations to world leaders to participate in the rally against terror, Hollande’s national security adviser, Jacques Audibert, contacted his Israeli counterpart, Yossi Cohen, and said that Hollande would prefer that Netanyahu not attend, the source said.

Audibert explained that Hollande wanted the event to focus on demonstrating solidarity with France, and to avoid anything liable to divert attention to other controversial issues, like Jewish-Muslim relations or the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Audibert said that Hollande hoped that Netanyahu would understand the difficulties his arrival might pose and would announce that he would not be attending.

The source noted that one of the French concerns – not conveyed to representatives of the Israeli government – was that Netanyahu would take advantage of the event for campaign purposes and make speeches, especially about the Jews of France. Such statements, the Elysee Palace feared, would hurt the demonstration of solidarity the French government was trying to promote as part of dealing with the terror attacks.

According to the source, Netanyahu at first acquiesced to the French request. In any case, the Shin Bet security service unit that protects public figures considered the arrangements for the prime minister’s security to be complex. And so, on Saturday evening, Netanyahu’s people announced that he would not be flying to Paris because of security concerns. Netanyahu told the French he would come to France on Tuesday for a Jewish community event.

On the same day a garbage truck went out of control 35 mile from my home and killed 4 people we have this breaking news from France. At least ten people were injured, two gravely, as a minivan crashed into a Christmas market in Nantes. The driver attempted to stab himself to death following the crash, a second such incident in the country over the last two days. Reports on the number of injured were conflicting with Le Figaro suggesting there are 17 casualties, while Focusur.fr reports at least 12 were injured and five are in serious condition.

A 37-year-old man “deliberately” drove the van into the market crowded with families and kids, according to local media. After that he attempted to take his life, stabbing himself in the chest several times. A source close to the investigation told AFP that the man was seriously injured but alive. He was taken to hospital. Witnesses told L’Express the man was shouting “Allahu Akbar”. Despite some media reports called the incident a “jihadist attack”, this has not been confirmed by officials. Local prosecutor Brigitte Lamy told journalists it was an “isolated case” and “not a terrorist act,” AP reported. Lamy said the driver was born in the western French city of Saintes, about 240 kilometers (150 miles) south of Nantes, but did not disclose the man‘s identity.

As The US Dollar Crumbles – The World Is Set For War

Russian Bear, Chinese Dragon, American Eagle

Russian Bear, Chinese Dragon, American Eagle

By Shaun Gibson : @ShaunyNews

RESEARCH YOURSELF! The guy in the video said what I did a while back

I got told about the link directly below by Army Personnel and partners left at home real upset, they are there!

https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/2014/08/31/breaking-american-and-uk-military-sent-to-kuwait-and-middle-east/

I am no expert AT ALL here! I did this article here about the World dropping the PetroDollar (What currency the World use to trade Oil) and the effects that may happen. From what I hear/read/see I believe the US Dollar is about to crash. I also believe this new War is part of America’s plan to make money because War = Oil.

https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/2014/08/24/obama-has-created-a-scenario-for-the-destruction-of-the-united-states/

The concrete piers of two new bridges are rising out of the Ohio River between Louisville, Kentucky, and southern Indiana, as crews blast limestone and move earth to build the roads and tunnels that will soon connect the twin spans to nearby interstate highways. For more than two decades, the project languished. Business and political leaders on both sides of the river couldn’t agree on how to relieve snarled traffic, improve safety and spur development that was bypassing the region for Indianapolis and Nashville. The Ohio River Bridges project is an American anomaly that has the potential to become a model while lack of money and political will are allowing many of the nation’s roads and bridges to crumble. Along the shores of the Ohio, Democrat-led Kentucky and Republican-run Indiana have forged a partnership to rebuild U.S. infrastructure at a time of partisan gridlock and untapped trillions in private dollars. “It’s an enduring irony that the U.S., allegedly the home of innovation, is absolutely block-headed and backwards in this one respect,” former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, now the president ofPurdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, said in an interview. “America needs the upgrade and modernization of our infrastructure, and I don’t think you’ll get there if you keep excluding, or at least discouraging, private capital.”

Construction crews work to erect a new highway bridge to carry I-65 traffic across the Ohio River to southern Indiana.

Trillions Sidelined

President Barack Obama’s administration, which had resisted private financing of public works, is starting a new center to serve as a one-stop shop for bringing capital into government projects. During a Sept. 9 infrastructure conference with investors, U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew said while direct federal spending is indispensable in such cases, tight budgets demand creative ways for unlocking private money. His cabinet colleague, Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, put it more bluntly when he announced the Build America Investment Initiative in July. “There will always be a substantial role for public investment,” Foxx said. “But the reality is we have trillions of dollars internationally on the sidelines that are not being put to work.” Fixing those roads and bridges also boosts employment. Every $1 billion in new infrastructure investment creates about 18,000 jobs, according to a 2009 report by economists at the University of Massachusetts’ Political Economy Research Institute.

Safety Dividend

An Indiana economic-impact study estimated that the Ohio River Bridges project alone will generate an average of 15,500 jobs annually through 2042. Planners promise a safety dividend as well: The river’s juncture is a national crossroads of truck traffic that has seen higher accident and injury rates than U.S. averages, according to a crash study. For Indiana’s share of the $2.3 billion project, the state is using WVB East End Partners to finance, design, build and maintain for 35 years a new bridge and highway approaches. The group consists of Walsh Investors LLC of Chicago; Vinci Concessions SAS, based in Rueil-Malmaison, France; and Bilfinger Project Investments North America, a division of the German builder Bilfinger SE. While Kentucky lacks the legal authority for such a deal and is using more traditional public financing for its portion, Democratic Governor Steve Beshear is pushing for legislation to allow Kentucky to use public-private partnerships for transportation work. The old model of relying on federal funding is no longer viable, he said. “The practical facts are that if we are going to have any large infrastructure projects in the foreseeable future, it’s going to have to involve the private sector,” Beshear said. “That’s where the money is, and that’s where people are willing to put money up in order to get these projects built.”

Pension Capital

Institutional investors such as Montreal-based Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec have capital and want to invest in U.S. infrastructure because it meets their long-term objectives, said Macky Tall, Caisse’s vice president of private equity and infrastructure. The Caisse is Canada’s second-biggest pension-fund manager, with C$214.7 billion ($190.7 billion) in net assets as of June 30. There hasn’t been more investment because the U.S. is behind other countries in tapping private capital, Tall said, and there’s been a lack of expertise, legal authority or receptivity to it in some parts of the country. “We as the investors keep it very simple: We only go and invest where that capital is desired and considered helpful,” he said. “We really only make these investments where there is appetite for that capital.”

Gas Tax

Tall said U.S. states are becoming more comfortable with private investment, in part because there are more examples of successful projects and fewer alternatives to pay for mounting infrastructure needs. The U.S. has used mostly fuel taxes and public financing for such projects. And the federal gasoline tax hasn’t been raised since President Bill Clinton was in office. A divided Congress only managed a short-term measure in July to prevent the Highway Trust Fund from becoming insolvent. California passed the first legislation allowing public-private partnerships for transportation projects in 1989. Today, 33 states and Puerto Rico have such authority, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. After years of debating the Ohio River bridges, Daniels and Beshear got on the phone late in 2011 and agreed to split the work, paying for each share separately.

‘Spaghetti Junction’

Kentucky’s portion includes a new six-lane downtown bridge for northbound Interstate 65 from Louisville and a reconfigured “Spaghetti Junction” where I-65 and two other interstates meet. Indiana is building a new bridge eight miles (13 kilometers) upstream connecting Louisville’s east end with southern Indiana while also expanding highways and building twin tunnels under historically protected property to connect to the new span. Indiana’s history of tapping private industry for transportation work includes the $3.8 billion, 75-year lease of the Indiana Toll Road that Daniels sought in 2006 to pay for roads and bridges. The toll road’s private operator sought bankruptcy protection last month when traffic didn’t match projections. The state’s piece of the Ohio River Bridges uses a different public-private financing model that could require taxpayers to cover any shortfall in tolls. The Indiana Finance Authority issued $677 million in tax-exempt, private-activity bonds in March 2013 on behalf of WVB East End Partners. The authority is also making $392 million in “milestone” payments during construction and annual “availability” payments for 35 years — assuming the operator maintains the bridge — using toll revenue on the new spans that the states are splitting.

Toll Road

The toll-road bankruptcy may prompt some government planners to question using availability payments and require private operators to assume more risk, said Robert Poole, director of transportation studies at the Los Angeles-based Reason Foundation, which advocates free markets. It still makes sense for governments to take on some risk in return for private investment, as long as they account for the liability, Poole said. The agency has done just that, said Stephanie McFarland, spokeswoman for the Indiana Finance Authority. While the toll-road deal involved “aggressive traffic projections” and financing, she said, the Ohio River Bridges project is based on conservative traffic estimates and low-interest debt.

Ingenuity Award

Indiana’s approach won “project of the year” recognition last year from groups including the Washington-based American Road & Transportation Builders Association, which called it “a prime example of the ingenuity” of public-private partnerships. The tools had been used before, though rarely on a project of such scale involving two state governments, the association said. Kentucky is using more traditional financing that includes bonds backed by toll revenue, a low-interest federal loan and Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicles bonds, or Garvees. The failure to craft more innovative approaches has left an unmet U.S. infrastructure need that the American Society of Civil Engineers estimates will reach $3.6 trillion by the end of the decade. The list of stalled projects includes a replacement for the Interstate 5 bridge connecting Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington, and a new Brent Spence Bridge between northern Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Hungry Investors

Officials in those bordering states have been unable to agree on the scope or funding as Kentucky and Indiana have with the Ohio River Bridges. Beshear said he’d like private financing as an option for the Brent Spence Bridge, just as public-private partnerships have been used for the Denver FasTracks rail project and the replacement of the Goethals Bridge between New York City and New Jersey. Institutional investors say they would like to invest more in public infrastructure — if only there were more suitable projects willing to take their money. If there were, it would mean an additional $2.5 trillion in investment globally through 2030, according to a 2013 study by the McKinsey Global Institute. The U.S. has the potential to be the largest public-private partnership market in the world because of the size of its infrastructure and urban populations, Moody’s Investors Service said in a Sept. 8 report. The swift financial closing of the Ohio River Bridges project — fewer than nine months — suggests the U.S. is ready for more public-private partnerships, said Xavier Huillard, Vinci’s chief executive officer.

Taking Off

“American lawyers are now good at dealing with such contracts, credit-rating agencies that rate bond issues, they’re all ready to deal with the concept of PPPs,” Huillard said in an Aug. 1 earnings call. “And that’s probably the sign that PPPs should start to take off in the United States.” One remaining barrier to private investment is that projects generally require a dedicated funding stream such as tolls, which some Americans oppose on top of paying taxes, said Robert Palter, director of McKinsey’s infrastructure practice in Toronto. While residents in Louisville and southern Indiana aren’t happy about tolls for the new Ohio River bridges, the work has been needed for decades, said Rebecca Bethard, who bought a house with her husband that overlooks the bridge work in Indiana. It will cut her 40-minute commute to Louisville in half, and the value of their home should only increase, she said. “Tolls are a fair trade-off for getting it done,” Bethard, an attorney, said in an interview. “The benefits outweigh the costs.”

Convoys Diverted

The unreliability of conducting business in the region was significant, said Kerry Stemler, chairman of the Louisville area’s chamber of commerce, who helped lead a bi-state bridges authority. U.S. military convoys have even diverted around Louisville because of the congestion, he said. “Not to move forward with this project basically was saying to this city and this part of the country that we’re not going to be participating in the future growth of the country, and that’s not acceptable,” Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer said in an interview. Companies in the region support the project, including United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS), which operates what it calls the world’s largest fully automated package-handling facility at Louisville International Airport, and Ford Motor Co. (F), which employs about 8,800 at its Louisville Assembly Plant and nearby Kentucky Truck Plant.

Job Generator

The bridge project may generate an average of 15,556 jobs a year from 2012 to 2042 in the region, with $29.5 billion in personal income and $86.7 billion in economic output, according to a March update of a study prepared by the Economic Development Research Group Inc. in Boston. The promise of better interstate access and flow of commerce is already attracting companies including Amazon.com Inc. to the 6,000-acre River Ridge Commerce Center, the former Indiana Army Ammunition Plant near where the east end bridge is being built, said Jerry Acy, the center’s executive director. The juxtaposition of work being done by the two states using different financing models also will provide a unique opportunity for comparison over time, said Daniels, the former Indiana governor. He called it “about as close to a political trial as you’re ever likely to have.” Investors are watching, said Raymond Levitt, director of the Global Projects Center at Stanford University. “If this Ohio River project finishes up really well, that’s going to be, I think, a beacon for foreign investors to say, ‘This can be done in the U.S.,’” Levitt said.

Hamas Didn’t Kidnap and Kill the 3 Israeli Teens After All..?

Mohamed Farag/Anadolu

Mohamed Farag/Anadolu

When the bodies of three Israeli teenagers, kidnapped in the West Bank, were found late last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not mince words. “Hamas is responsible, and Hamas will pay,” he said, initiating a campaign that eventually escalated into the present conflict in the region.

But now, officials admit the kidnappings were not Hamas’s handiwork after all.

Non-plagiarizing BuzzFeed writer Sheera Frenkel was among the first to suggest that it was unlikely that Hamas was behind the deaths of Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel, and Eyal Yifrach. Citing Palestinian sources and experts the field, Frenkel reported that kidnapping three Israeli teens would be a foolish move for Hamas. International experts told her it was likely the work of a local group, acting without concern for the repercussions:

[Gershon Baskin] pointed out that Hamas has earlier this month signed an agreement to form a unity government with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, bridging, for the first time in seven years, the Palestinian leadership in the West Bank and Gaza.

“They will lose their reconciliation agreement with Abbas if they do take responsibility for [the kidnappings],” Baskin added.

Today, she was proven right:

Repeated inconsistencies in Israeli descriptions of the situation have sparked debate over whether Israel wanted to provoke Hamas into a confrontation. Israeli intelligence is also said to have known that the boys were dead shortly after they disappeared, but to have maintained public optimism about their safe return to beef up support from the Jewish diaspora. Writing for Al Jazeera, Musa al-Gharbi argued that Israel was deliberately provoking Hamas:

All the illegal and immoral actions related to Operation Brother’s Keeper were justified under the premise of finding and saving the missing teens whom the Israeli government knew to be dead — cynically exploiting the tragedy to whip up public outcry in order to provoke and then confront Hamas. This pattern of deception continues under the ongoing military offensive in Gaza. For example, last week in collaboration with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Abbas, in its efforts to alienate Hamas, Israel announced a bad-faith cease-fire proposal, which Hamas was not consulted on and never agreed to but whose violation supposedly justified Israel’s expansion and intensification of the military campaign into Gaza.

Despite continued negotiations, the violence shows no signs of letting up, and after Thursday night’s massive protests in the West Bank, there is still no ceasefire agreement. On Friday, it became clear that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s attempts to broker a seven-day truce were rejected by Israeli officials. Instead, Israel will apparently widen its ground operation in the Gaza Strip, despite international outcry about the civilian death toll. According to unnamed officials, the proposed truce was too generous to Hamas’s demands.

Hamas, meanwhile, still hasn’t weighed in on the agreement, whose details are being kept secret, but continued to launch rockets into Israel. International peace talks are set to resume in France this weekend, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed.

America angered as the UK and France do arms deals with Russia

Putin and Dave, pals in War!

Putin and Dave, pals in War!

For anyone needing reminded in this War an Hate filled World we live in that War is the new age of money making only need must read this below. As always do your own research. France and the UK are doing deals with America’s devil and they don’t like it. This tells me, as I have said many times that the World see’s American on it’s knees financially and are dealing with other countries. America only has it’s self to blame for being cast aside in this World by spying on friends. Hard reality to take here, but this is our World now, accept it!

Britain could buy weapons from its former Cold War foe for the first time under a landmark defence treaty, the Telegraph can reveal. Defence chiefs are preparing to sign a deal that would see British defence companies working jointly on projects with the Russian arms industry. The treaty allows arms companies to buy kit from Russia – and Russian diplomatic sources said they hope one day to see British soldiers carrying the Red Army’s famous Kalashnikov rifle as a result. Ministry of Defence sources confirmed the deal creates the legal framework for the British Army to buy Russian equipment, but stressed their main focus is on allowing firms to share information and buy components from one another. The MoD and the Russian Federal Service for Military Technical Co-operation are now studying the draft text. It could be signed in the spring, Moscow sources said, earlier than previously thought after making quick progress.

The United States is continuing to pile pressure on France to suspend a $1.6bn (£1bn) defence contract with the Russian government amid calls for Europe to adopt meaningful sanctions against Moscow following the downing of Flight MH17. As EU foreign ministers, including Philip Hammond, the foreign secretary, meet in Brussels later today to discuss toughening sanctions, the French refusal to halt the contract to supply two helicopter carriers to the Russian navy has come under particular fire. The fact that France is still providing training to Russian service personnel was the subject of heated contacts between US and European officials last the weekend, officials said, as months of tension over the project came to a head. “The Americans are absolutely furious about the French still training the Russians,” a Western diplomatic source told The Telegraph in Washington. “The question everyone is asking is, ‘at what point does Europe draw the line?'” The UK, which along with Germany has already halted all defence exports to Russia, has lined up squarely behind the Obama administration which has led misgivings among some Nato countries about the French-Russian deal even before the crisis in Ukraine.

World stands as one – warn Russia to relent in Ukraine standoff

Barack Obama has ordered a freezing of US assets and visa restrictions on those involved in Russia’s military intervention in Crimea, as Britain’s David Cameron warned President Vladimir Putin “it cannot be business as usual”. Mr Obama signed an executive order aimed at punishing Russians and Ukrainians responsible for “threatening the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”. The visa ban does not apply to the Russian President, a US official said. The White House’s rebuke came as the European Union also ramped up the pressure on Russia and President Vladimir Putin.

Member states agreed to suspend negotiations on a more liberal visa regime for Russians, stop work on a comprehensive new agreement on relations between Russia and the EU and to pull out of all preparations for the G8 summit in Sochi in June. The European Commission has also been tasked to work on additional measures including travel bans and asset freezes. British Prime Minister David Cameron, who is at the Brussels summit, unveiled the details of the action and said Europe needed “to send a very clear message to the Russian government that what has happened is unacceptable and should have consequences”. He said: “The situation in Ukraine remains highly precarious – the slightest miscalculation can see it spiral out of control.

“If Russia takes further steps the statement issued today makes very clear there will be far-reaching consequences. ”It cannot be business as usual with Russia.” Mr Cameron said world leaders needed to find a way to “diffuse” and “de-escalate” the situation. ”We know from history that turning a blind eye when nations are trampled over and their independence trashed – that stores up far greater problems in the long run,” he added.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said the country’s armed forces would act if Moscow moved any further into its territory. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who met US Secretary of State John Kerry in Rome for a second round of talks but failed to reach an agreement, said US sanctions against Russia were “not constructive”. It came as Crimea’s deputy prime minister Rustam Temirgaliev said a decree making the region part of Russia was already in place: “The only lawful armed force on the territory of the Crimea is the Russian armed forces.”

MPs in Crimea – which remains under the tight grip of pro-Russian troops – have voted in favour of becoming part of Russia and are calling for a referendum in 10 days. But Mr Yatsenyuk, who has been meeting European leaders in Brussels, said the decree was “an illegitimate decision and this so-called referendum has no legal grounds at all”. He added: “Crimea is, was and will be an integral part of Ukraine. In case of further escalation and military intervention into the Ukrainian territory by foreign forces, the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian military will act in accordance with the constitution and laws.”

In Simferopol, the region’s capital, about 50 people rallied outside the parliament waving Russian and Crimean flags. Among the posters they held aloft was one that said “Russia, defend us from genocide”. Gunmen at an improvised checkpoint on Crimea’s regional border with the rest of Ukraine have blocked a group of 40 unarmed military observers from carrying out an inspection mission requested by Ukraine’s government. Interpol is examining a request by Ukrainian authorities to issue a ‘Red Alert’ for the arrest of ousted President Victor Yanukovych. Ukraine’s Paralympic team has threatened to boycott the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia. The athletes will announce their decision at 9.30am (UK time) on Friday.
