Brilliant goal by Ex Celtic Maloney!

The Tartan Army filled Paradise tonight, Celtic park in a group game we NEEDED to win. 3 points was the order of the day. We deserved to win, it wasn’t a mistake the goal, a 1-2 with Maloney and Celtic’s Scott Brown seen Maloney curl an unstoppable shot into the far post. Brillian team goal, superb solo goal.
We went into this game knowing Poland had beat Georgia 4-0 and were top of the Group D on 10 points, we had to get onto 7 points with the ROI and Germany tonight and we did it. Ireland started the better team creating a few half chances early on. As the game progressed through the 2nd half Scotland started to control the game. The goal came on 74 minutes and left every living breathing Scottish person with a LONG 15 minutes till the ref blew his whistle. Ireland hit the bar in added time but anything other than a Scotland win would have been unfair tonight. So proud to be Scottish tonight, I like the Republic of Ireland, as a Celtic fan I am obviously always torn. But Scotland ALWAYS!
6 games to play and we are well placed to get out this group and into the EC
what a goal!
There were many split loyalties at Celtic Park ahead of kick-off
Republic of Ireland’s Martin O’Neill and Scotland counterpart Gordon Strachan are both former Celtic managers
