With 70% of the planet being water, we see 30% of all Meteor’s that whiz through our skies. Well in-fact we see less, many are in-front of the sun and we are blinded, many are at night when we are all sleeping. To get as many views at the same time of the same Meteor is brilliant. I checked, nobody was hurt and the authorities in the area are looking to see see if they can find it, these things, if/when found can be worth £$Millions$£ depending on where they came from
This is the awe-inspiring moment a monster meteor burnt through the Oklahoma sky. The burning space rock was caught on camera by YouTube user James West who posted: “Look what i was lucky enough to capture this morning. Flew right by and north towards Edmond.” Each day our planet is said to be bombarded with more than 100 tons of sand-sized particles and several larger rocks, creating thousands of meteors, with many of them lighting up the night sky.
Most are small harmless fireballs that break up when they hit the atmosphere. But as the huge 55-feet diameter asteroid that smashed into Chelyabinsk, Russia, in February 2013 proved, many can pose a life-threatening menace. The Chelyabinsk space rock spectacularly streaked through the morning sky before landing with a huge explosion that injured more than 1,000 people and caused an estimated £21million of damage.

News of the meteor in the US comes just days after a mystery light illuminated the sky in a remote part of Russia. An explosion was captured by a driver with a dashboard mounted camera as he was cruising along a quiet stretch of motorway near Sverdlovsk in the mountainous Urals region. The video, taken on November 14, shows a ball of orange light which rapidly expands to illuminate the entire road, turning the dead of night into the middle of the day for around ten seconds. Expert opinion is divided on what actually caused the flash.
