No Indictment: Michael Brown and Eric Garner Protests Nationwide

Via Huey P. Newton on You Tube

Tragedy has happened but I see a Nation waking up to the Police State that got 2 Cops away with Murder. I am delighted to see this. It is sad what happened. R.I.P to both the guys murdered by Cops. One who quit with $1 Million in donations and from a TV interview, just wrong, wrong, wrong. In both cases there should have been a court trial. In Ferguson 22 people said the EXACT same story, I am guessing because they are ‘Black’ A word you Americans just can’t stop using, is the reason nobody believes them and why they were not allowed to tell the story to the Grand Jury. In New York a cop chocked a man to death saying “I can’t breath” America, you are waking up to a police state!

NYC DEMONSTRATION FOR ERIC GARNER – IS AMERICA FINALLY WAKING UP?

NFL players and NBA basketball stars have shown their support for protesters angered by police violence against African American suspects. Cleveland Browns cornerback Johnson Bademosi wrote the words “I Can’t Breathe” on the back of a shirt he wore before Sunday’s NFL game against the Indianapolis Colts. Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush also had the slogan written on his warm-up shirt.

The slogan has been used to call attention to the death of Eric Garner, who died after a New York police officer used a chokehold during an arrest in July. A video of the arrest showed Mr Garner saying “I Can’t Breathe” after he was placed in the chokehold.

Last week a grand jury decided that it would not indict the police officer. Bademosi said he wore the slogan to call attention to the case, which he described as “ridiculous”. “It’s not an us-against-them thing. It’s about us standing in solidarity with those of us who know what’s going on,” he said. Bush said he felt “touched” by the public outcry about violence against African Americans in recent weeks. “Honestly, I’ve always been the quiet kid. I’ve always been the one who’s reserved, to kind of sit back and not really get into politics and things like that,” he said.

“But I don’t know why I just felt some kind of… I guess the situation just touched me. “It’s kind of resonated with me. Not because I’ve been through a similar situation or because I’ve seen anybody go through it. “I just really felt terrible about what was going on these past couple of weeks.”

On Saturday, Chicago Bulls basketball player Derrick Rose wore the message on his T-shirt while warming up for an NBA game. There were violent clashes in California on the weekend as demonstrators took to the streets to protest the killings of African American suspects by white police officers.

Protesters in Berkeley threw bricks, rocks and pipes at police, who fired tear gas and smoke canisters to quell the crowds. Peaceful demonstrations have also been held in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Miami, Las Vegas and Seattle, and a number of other cities. The protest in Berkeley took place hours after mourners gathered at the New York funeral of an unarmed black man shot dead by police on 20 November. Akai Gurley, 28, who had a two-year-old daughter, was killed when a police officer opened fire in a dimly-lit staircase at a Brooklyn apartment building. Friends and relatives filed past Mr Gurley’s open casket at the Brown Memorial Baptist Church to pay their respects.

The funeral came after a series of deaths of black suspects, including 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was shot dead in Ferguson, Missouri, on 9 August. His death followed that of Mr Garner, a father of six who was killed in a chokehold by police in New York in July. In both cases a Grand Jury voted not to indict the white officer involved, sparking widespread anger. Last month, 12-year-old African American Tamir Rice was brandishing a replica gun when he was shot dead in Cleveland, Ohio, by police only seconds after they arrived at the scene.

NYC Demonstration for Eric Garner – Is America Finally waking up?

Candles are seen at the memorial of Garner in Staten Island

By @ShaunyGibson – Used to be @ ShaunyNews

With the demonstrations all over the USA for Ferguson kid https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/2014/11/26/trouble-is-starting-all-over-the-usa-ferguson-burning-usa-flag/ Michael Brown now we see a HUGE demonstration in New York City again, with both white and black people again and this time for Eric Garner.

America is now a full on Police State, for people who don’t fully understand ‘Police State’s meaning, here it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_state

Police state is a term that originally designated a state regulated by a civil administration, but since the middle of the 20th Century, the term has “taken on the emotional and derogatory meaning of a government that exercises power arbitrarily through the police.”

The Murder of Eric Garner by a Cop who escaped punishment, same as cop in Ferguson

Gilbert Collar, a white, unarmed 18-year-old was shot and killed Oct. 6, 2012, by Officer Trevis Austin

I have been saying and asking for over a year now if the people of America will EVER stand up to the Police State that now surrounds them, what I have seen in the last week is 100’s of thousands of people demonstrate, some in anger, some in peace for the murder of two guys, one a kid the other an adult. Both times by white cops killing black people. I still find it uncomfortable using the ‘Black’ word but I guess I have to here. I think the American people are slowly seeing for themselves what a Police State is. A people oppressed can only stay oppressed for so long right? We need only look to Palestine to see a people react with anger to what is for them, a Police State in GAZA. I know many Americans will disagree with what I just said there but show me where I am wrong? American people, white as well, remember the black cop who killed the white kid and it hardly hit the news? Well if you don’t I found it. The exact same thing happened with Eric Garner, Micheal Brown and white kid Gilbert Collar who was shot dead by black cop Trevis Austin in 2012 https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/2014/11/29/white-teen-killed-by-black-cop-in-alabama-mirrors-ferguson-but-no-outrage-racist-usa/ We are now witnessing people waking up and standing up, this was New York last night singing I can’t Breath And yes, many were arrested although everyone was peaceful.

Racism is alive and well in America but lets be really sure here, it is done by the American media and the US Government. There is no question the high end US Media, TV and Print are run by Politicians, there is no question in my mind. What I find staggering also is the Media and many people, they believe EVERYTHING the police say but not one word coming out of the mouth of witness’s who happen to be black people. In both cases Eric Garner, Micheal Brown a bunch of people had to decide “Was this murder” in both cases these people in court said “There was no charges to be brought on either policeman” The Cop who killed Michael Brown has retired with a cool £1 Million in his pocket https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/2014/12/02/ferguson-darren-wilson-to-receive-1-million-dollars-from-tv-and-supporters/ For anyone inside America reading this are you not disgusted by the actions and happenings of the last few weeks? I sadly have met and unfriended a few American people who tell me “America’s problems are all the Black People” May I also add most of the people who said this were deeply religious people. I won’t name their names that would be wrong but I do invite them to come onto this blog that they WILL READ and defend the statements they made regarding black people ruining America. Again, Religion causing problems.

America is waking up, the people are seeing a truth they didn’t want to believe in. I have wrote for over a YEAR about how America is a police state and at one point was going to stop. https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/?s=Police+State+USA I am one voice in MILLIONS who say the same message to you America. Someone said I was a lone voice. Can I ask if this makes me a lone voice? Here are links to prove it. One from Google, the other from You Tube. Many see this and try to wake people up. Sadly it’s impossible. I showed America the images of US Service men and woman refusing to go to Syria to fight for “America’s Al Qaeda” and them saying “Wake up” THIS is what they mean. America, your Army WILL stand behind you. Time to stand up America! I will ask ONCE MORE..Did the US Close down because of Healthcare issues, or because the Military chiefs refused to go to Syria and have now been sacked for it. You are American, you should know Obama sacked many of his high powered military leaders, Army, Navy, Air Force…

Research, Research, Research. I know you get bored with me saying it, but through a ton of research over the past few days I looked HARD for a ‘Black Cop” killing a “White Kid” and low and behold, I found one. It is a two year old case now but never hit the media at all, it slipped under the radar or Main stream media. If we ever need proof America is a very racist place, with racism going both ways, this is the ultimate proof. Where was the social outrage? Where was the looting and fighting? Why were ‘White People’ not told the news at 8pm like last week in Ferguson in order to make black people look bad. Make no mistake, this is EXACTLY what happened in Ferguson earlier this week. It was made to happen. Just ask “Why tell a very angry mob outside who are ready to be angry, and rightly so, at 8pm” See when we apply logic to a story, the story becomes more than a story, it becomes something else. Anyone with 2 brain cells will understand what I am saying here. that is weird. I am still trying to fathom this. A  ‘Black Cop kills a White kid’ and no outcry? hmmm puzzling

A two-year-old case involving the shooting death of an unarmed 18-year-old white man by a black police officer is gaining attention on social media in the wake of this week’s protests and rioting in Ferguson, Missouri. Gilbert Collar, a white, unarmed 18-year-old under the influence of drugs was shot and killed Oct. 6, 2012, by Officer Trevis Austin, who is black, in Mobile, Alabama. Despite public pressure for an indictment, a Mobile County grand jury refused to bring charges against Officer Austin, concluding that the officer acted in self-defense.

The circumstances mirror those of the Aug. 9 shooting death of Michael Brown, a black unarmed 18-year-old under the influence of drugs by Officer Darren Wilson, who is white, in Ferguson.A St. Louis County grand jury’s decision Monday not to indict the officer ignited violence and looting in Ferguson and days of protests nationwide against racial injustice. The discrepancy in the reaction to and coverage of the two grand jury decisions has not been lost on social media, where critics are citing the Collar case to counter those who say Brown was the victim of racism in both law enforcement and judicial system.

On Thursday, the website Conservative Tribune headline trumpeted the case: “Unarmed White Teen Gunned Down by Black Cop … Where’s the Outrage?”

Former CNN host Piers Morgan blasted the police response in Mobile days after Collar was killed, saying he “didn’t deserve to die,” but otherwise the case has received little attention outside Alabama, prompting critics to accuse the national media of a “whiteout.” Said Julie on Twitter: “Hello? Media? Two years, and still only crickets. Where’s Al Sharpton for #GilCollar?” Critics also note there has been no rioting or sustained protest in Mobile, even though the slightly built Collar, unlike Brown, never touched the officer and, because he was naked when he was shot, was more obviously unarmed. Both shooting victims were found with marijuana in their systems.

“There’s riots for #MikeBrown but none for #GilCollar,” said one commenter, @samstuff, in a Wednesday post on Twitter. “Nobody burnt buildings to the ground for them,” said commenter Gomer Pyle on Twitter, referring to Collar and Dillon Taylor, a white 20-year-old shot Aug. 11 by a minority police officer in Utah. “You never even heard of them until now.” Others have pointed to the cases as evidence that police are routinely using excessive force against young men no matter what their race. “To those of you who called #MikeBrown a thug please reconsider your stance on the issue now that the thug is a white male, who the system failed as well!” said India Washington on Instagram. In what may be a sign of things to come in the Brown case, parents Bonnie and Reed Collar filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the officer in July.

Racist America – I told you what a Police State was – Staged Verdict made it look worse

♫ Hands Up Don't Shoot ♫

♫ Hands Up Don’t Shoot ♫

By @ShaunyGibson – Used to be @ ShaunyNews

I Have said for as long as I have been writing that the USA is a corrupt police state. Now how people react to what I have to say will determine how right I am.
The Police in America ‘Seem’ to be racist. I have heard so much today saying “American Cops hate Blacks” Even Obama admitted there was a mistrust between Cops and Black people. He is of course right. America has the biggest jailed populous in the developed World. America has more people in Prison than anyone else. So we must ask why this is.

I believe Racism is a HUGE problem in the USA. Many are quick to say “That Black Kid” when the expression should be “That Kid” As long as you the people and the Media play “That Black Kid” there will be problems. I don’t have the answers to a nation returning to Racial divide and things getting worse and I don’t know who has. Black people get treated worse than white people. I have seen it all too many times. America, you are a young nation, the rest of the World has been through this. You will get there, but I still think last night was all too staged. Why tell at that time? Why allow the streets to fill up and give the verdict? Get past that question then you see the truth, this, for me was made to happen. Think about it, why tell the people at 8pm? This just puts black people in a worse light so America can say “Told you so, look at THEM” and I don’t like that

I have spoken to many Americans and more than a few have said “The Blacks are the problem here” So I ask, Are the black’s to blame or is it as a people they are penned into places with liquor stores and pawn shops. I have done a much research a man could do with this. I think the EASY ANSWER IS “Blame Blacks” The verdict was given at 8pm, a time when it’s SO MUCH EASIER TO CAUSE TROUBLE. Why not tell the verdict at 9am? For me this was all too easy. Tell Ferguson at a time when they would get angry and show it and make the Black people look worse. I think America, you got this ALL WRONG.
Police State USA is on the go, it will get worse. I will be doing research on this some more. I want percentages of who is in jail, why they are in jail. I have shown MANY times Cops killing and seriously harming people.

https://acenewsdesk.wordpress.com/?s=Police+state+USA

It is so sad this happened, but it has.

May I say “RIP Michael Brown”

An hour before the news came out, St. Louis County Chief of Police Jon Belmar asked for calm

St. Louis County Chief of Police Jon Belmar wants the entire St. Louis community to know that the safety of our citizens is the primary concern for the St. Louis County Police Department. “As a police department, our primary responsibility is to protect both life and property for our citizens, and we are committed to doing just that. St. Louis Metropolitan Chief of Police Sam Dotson, Missouri State Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson, and I, have prepared extensively as a Unified Command, for the release of the grand jury decision. Our commanders have been meeting with local community officials and protest leaders to help ensure preservation of life, property, and that all citizens’ enjoy the freedom to express their constitutional rights.”

The shooting of Michael Brown occurred on August 9, 2014, in Ferguson, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Brown, an 18-year-old black man, was fatally shot by Darren Wilson, 28, a white police officer. The disputed circumstances of the shooting and the resultant protests and civil unrest received considerable attention in the United States and abroad.

Brown and his friend Dorian Johnson were walking down the middle of the street when Wilson drove up and ordered them to move to the sidewalk. Brown and Wilson struggled through the window of the police vehicle until Wilson’s gun was fired, either intentionally or as a result of the struggle. Brown and Johnson then fled in different directions, with Wilson in pursuit of Brown. Wilson shot Brown six times, killing him. Witness reports differ as to whether and when Brown had his hands raised, and whether he was moving toward Wilson, when the final shots were fired.

Gerguson, Missouri — A decision is expected Monday from the grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, that is weighing evidence in the Michael Brown shooting, U.S. and local law enforcement officials told CNN.

The announcement will come from the St Louis County Prosecutor, the sources said.
Will Ferguson officer be indicted?
Fighting to tell the story in Ferguson
Ferguson: Preparing for protests

The sources did not know what decision will be announced.

The city has been on edge in anticipation of a decision. Some businesses have been boarded up, and activists are prepared to protest.

For the grand jury, the key question is whether Officer Darren Wilson, who is white, will face charges in the August 9 shooting death of Brown, 18, who was black.

Though the basic facts of the case — that Brown was unarmed when Wilson shot him — are not in question, the facts of the fatal moment are hotly disputed.

Supporters of Brown’s family back witness accounts that Wilson fired while Brown had his hands up in surrender. Wilson’s supporters say that Brown was the aggressor, had tried to take Wilson’s gun while he was in his vehicle and that the officer fired in self-defense.

The 12-member grand jury is deciding whether Wilson should be charged with any of several possible crimes, including: first-degree murder, second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter or involuntary manslaughter, said Ed Magee, a spokesman for the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch is set to make an anouncement later today regarding the grand jury reviewing evidence in the Ferguson police shooting death of Michael Brown, a person familiar with the matter said.

The grand jury, which is meeting today in Clayton, a St. Louis suburb, will break for the day at noon local time, said the person, who declined to be identified because the deliberations are secret. McCullough will hold a press conference at either 4 p.m. or 7 p.m., the person said.

Edward Magee, a spokesman for McCulloch, didn’t immediately return an e-mail seeking comment.

Protesters In St. Louis Neighborhood Shut Down Major Roads, Call For Justice

yjtdBy @ShaunyGibson – Used to be @ ShaunyNews

ST. LOUIS — A couple hundred protesters marched in the Shaw neighborhood of St. Louis on Sunday night to remember two black men who were shot to death by white police officers in the past few months.

“Black lives matter!” the crowd chanted, as they held hands and blocked traffic at the intersection of Kingshighway Boulevard and Manchester Avenue. Protesters recalled the deaths of Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager who was shot by Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9, and Vonderrit Myers, a teenager who was shot eight times by an off-duty St. Louis police officer in the Shaw neighborhood on Oct. 8.

Demonstrators stopped several times during the march, and even blocked a major intersection for four and a half minutes to symbolize the almost four and a half hours Brown’s body lay on the street before it was taken to the morgue. Police arrived not long after the march began, and they blocked off streets for the remainder of the event. No arrests were made.

After the march ended, several members of the community came together for a prayer, reminding one another to stay safe and act peacefully after the release of the grand jury decision regarding Wilson, which is expected soon. Linda Tirado, author of a blog post on poverty that went viral last year and the book “Hand To Mouth,” also came out Sunday night to support the community’s call to end police violence. “If you can come here, you should come here,” Tirado told The Huffington Post about the protests. “That is what we do as Americans, when we see someone’s civil liberties be violated, we stand up and say we can’t do that, and that’s what’s happening.”
