French name in the USA. This is getting rather strange this. Almost every day some issue is happening, things are sure getting busy.

One person has died and dozens were injured at one of Washington DC’s busiest subway stations after smoke forced the evacuation of passengers during rush hour.

The smoke filled L’Enfant Plaza station – one of the closest for the US capital’s tourist destinations – at around 3.30pm (8.30pm UK time) according to the District of Columbia Fire and EMS.

Spokeswoman Caroline Laurin confirmed one person had died.

“People started praying. Smoke was coming in pretty steadily.”

Images showed smoke-filled subway carriages and people attempting to get out of the station.
