We knew there would be issues due to the watered down ‘Smith Commission’ Labour and Tory’s alike had a chance to make this easier for everyone but now, sadly we DO and WILL have tax issues. On one hand Scottish Politicians can’t vote on English laws for anything yet we here in Scotland, say if a tax break was given will make what we bring in less. This is an utter mess, the SNP should demand a ‘Back to the drawing board’ here. We MUST vote SNP People, otherwise we could find ourselves in no man’s land (Figure of speech) This is a shambles in the making. Hollyrood need to know yearly what income the have to work with, this will make it difficult for John Swinney to work his magic, the man can only do what he can do. Thankfully we have another bite at this Scotland, we can’t mess this up, we must inform, be informed and make sure people know EXACTLY what a Labour vote means.

THE `pick’n’mix’ deal on new post-referendum powers for Scotland could turn “messy” and leave Holyrood unable to make any “radical shift” in policy, economic and tax experts have warned.

MSPs were today warned that flagship proposals to hand some taxes to the Scottish Parliament – and leave others at Westminster – is a recipe for conflict between the Scottish and UK Governments. And Scots will be left in the dark over which taxes are Scottish, according to tax chiefs who warned it is “very difficult to pull apart” UK taxes.

The UK Government last month published legislation to enact the recent Smith agreement on more powers over tax and welfare for Scotland. It followed `the vow’ made the main pro-union party leaders in the final days of the referendum campaign to devolve sweeping new powers to Scotland after a No vote.

Economist Professor Anton Muscatelli, the principal of Glasgow University, told Holyrood’s devolution committee that he had concerns about the deal. “It reserves, for example, the personal allowance, it reserves national insurance contributions and one of the big issues is around in work benefits. “And by reserving universal credit, it does mean the whole interaction between welfare payments and low pay and income taxation is therefore not brought into play.“I do think that will create and potentially lead to tensions going forward – so how that is managed within future legislation will be hugely important.”

National insurance

Prof Muscatelli said national insurance is part of the “overall tax structure” and Scotland’s budget would effectively be cut if this is lowered UK-wide. “By not devolving national insurance, I think it creates the potential for conflict and it will impact on the Scottish tax base.”

Similarly, if the UK Government cuts the personal allowance – a tax hike – Scotland could respond by introducing a zero tax rate to cover such a change and effectively wipe this out. But Prof Muscatelli said: “It would force Scotland’s hand – and this where it gets a bit messy by not devolving the personal allowance.” He said it would have been better to devolve “all income tax and employment income to Scotland.”

Charlotte Barbour, Head of Taxation, at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS) said the package offers a “variety of different taxes” to Holyrood.

Under the deal Scotland will get control over income tax bands – but not the personal allowance or national insurance. Air passenger duty and the Aggregates Levy will be devolved, while Holyrood will be “assigned” half of VAT revenues raised in Scotland. But there will be significant “joint responsibilities” with Westminster still in control of HMRC – the UK taxman.

“Scottish powers will have to interact with that and mesh together as well as going into the welfare side of it,” she said. “One of the issues that come out of that is that I’m not sure that a lot of people amongst the public have a full understanding of what Scottish taxes are.”

Ms Barbour said: “I think it’s very difficult to pull any one part of the UK taxes apart – it leads to these kind of set ups as to whether national insurance and income tax goes together.” The tax expert said this meant limits on Holyrood’s ability to push any through meaningful change in policy because income tax is “shared and over and above that interacts with other taxes.” She said; “I don’t think there’s a lot of scope to radically change what you’ve got here.”

TRAINS on the east coast main line in eastern Edinburgh were severely disrupted today after a 7ft deep sink hole appeared beside tracks at Craigentinny.

All ScotRail, East Coast and CrossCountry trains were halted for two hours before a limited service was resumed using one of the lines around 6pm.

Passengers were transferred to buses.

It is not yet known what caused the 13ft-long hole to open beside a boundary wall, which was spotted at 3:30pm.

Scotland announces it will block ‘ALL’ fracking

Scottish energy minister Fergus Ewing announced a moratorium on granting planning consents for fracking developments to allow a full public consultation on the issue.

By @ShaunyNews Via http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/scotlands-energy-minister-announces-block-all-fracking-operations-1485642 SNP are not messing around just now. The question we must ask is ‘Why are they doing it’ Watch this space – #IndyRef2

All fracking operations in Scotland are to be suspended pending further enquiries, Energy Minister Fergus Ewing has announced.  There will be a moratorium on all unconventional oil and gas extraction – which includes fracking – until more information is obtained on both the environmental and health implications of the controversial technique.

Following the general election on 7 May the Scottish government will have full control over fracking. Until then all fracking applications are to be turned down on planning grounds. Scottish Government introduces #fracking moratorium | Friends of the Earth Scotland http://t.co/VU9BjgIedj

— Richard Dixon (@Richard_Dixon) January 28, 2015 Given the importance of this work it would be inappropriate to allow any planning consents in the meantime,” Ewing told Holyrood. “I am therefore announcing a moratorium for the granting of planning consents on all unconventional oil and gas extraction including fracking.”

Ewing’s announcement was hailed by environmentalists including Dr Richard Dixon, Director of Friends of the Earth Scotland, who said: “Fergus Ewing’s announcement today is huge victory for the communities, individuals and groups who have been campaigning to stop this dirty industry in Scotland.

“This moratorium is a very big nail in the coffin for the unconventional gas and fracking industry in Scotland. Any serious examination of the mounting evidence will inevitably lead to a ban.

“The Scottish Government has acted decisively today to protect communities across the country and the environment from this unnecessary industry.”

However the reaction from energy companies looks likely to be less enthusiastic. Tom Crotty, director of Ineos, which operates Grangemouth refinery, said on Monday: “We need shale gas to meet those climate change targets. We’ve learnt from the US this is now a safe process. We’re heading for a cliff edge in energy supply. If we keep postponing these decisions we’ll fall off.”

We have a moratorium on unconventional oil & gas and #fracking in Scotland!!!! Well done EVERYBODY!!! Now lets turn this into a ban!!!!

— Mary Church (@mmachch) January 28, 2015
Earlier this week the UK government survived an attempt in Westminster to impose a national moratorium, but caved in to demands not to allow fracking in national parks, areas of outstanding national beauty and areas of drinking water collection.

Environmentalists claim fracking increases carbon emissions and is potentially dangerous, with many claiming it can lead to earthquakes and that the carcinogenic chemicals used in the process can contaminate groundwater.

BREAKING: Secret MOD plan to move Trident from Scotland to Wales #TridentFreeScotland

Faslane Naval Base, West of Scotland

By @ShaunyNews Via sources, Web, You Tube and my own remarks

Unreal breaking news for Wednesday, MOD/Westmister have held, till now, secret talks with Hollyrood/SNP and Plaid Cymru, Nicola Sturgeon vowed to remove ‘Trident’ from Scottish soil and it seems Wales are happy to take the financial incentive offered by London to have Nuclear weapons ANYWHERE in the UK apart from England. This is BRILLIANT news for Scotland. I have a family member and a few friends who I know or know off that work at Faslane in whatever job description, I am hearing Faslane will still operate, keep the community running with work, the only change will be utterly huge, A NUCLEAR FREE SCOTLAND!!

This is (If it happens) a HUGE win for Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP. If they can pull this off I suspect, as I have been told in idle gossiping circles that Alex Salmond, who vowed to ‘Not stand down after the Referendum’ has a ‘Something’ he is using as some kind of, as Alex said himself that will make him a modern day Guy Fawkes in Westminster.

Main Stream Media will pick this up during the night and it will be big news Wednesday

Main Stream Media will pick this up during the night and it will be big news Wednesday

The video below is from Monday at FMQs, around the 5 minute 50 seconds mark Nicola talks about Trident

THE UK’s nuclear deterrent would be “more than welcome” in Wales if the Scottish Government wanted rid of it, Carwyn Jones said yesterday.

The First Minister told the Senedd that if the SNP wanted to remove the fleet of nuclear submarines from Faslane on the west coast of Scotland it – and the jobs which went with it – would be welcomed in Milford Haven. Mr Jones had been asked during First Minister’s Questions about the potential to invest in Welsh ports.

He responded: “I did notice the Scottish Government no longer wishes to have the nuclear submarine base at Faslane, it no longer wishes to house the UK naval nuclear fleet. There will be more than a welcome for that fleet and those jobs in Milford Haven.” Britain has four Vanguard submarines based at Faslane naval base on the River Clyde, which can deploy Trident ballistic missiles carrying nuclear warheads. The comments were met with immediate condemnation from Plaid Cymru, who said the First Minister had “no grasp on reality if he believes that the people of Wales want nuclear weapons stored in Wales”.

The Ministry of Defence said that it was not making plans to move the UK’s nuclear deterrent from HM Naval Base Clyde. The Scottish Government has made no secret of its desire to move the fleet from Scotland.

Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond has long voiced concerns about the dangers of nuclear energy, either to generate power or as part of Britain’s military defence, and has said the weapons would leave Scotland were it to vote to leave the UK in 2014, even though it has been warned that removing the deterrent from the Clyde would be the biggest bill in the post-independence negotiations. Following Mr Jones’ comments, a spokesman for the Welsh Government sought to clarify them, saying they were nothing to do with Scottish independence.

107319-faslane-protesters-chained-themselves-to-gates-at-the-base

He said: “As a staunch supporter of the union, the First Minister has made it clear on many occasions that he wants to see Scotland remain part of the United Kingdom. “However, the Scottish Government has made it clear that they wish to see the fleet leave Scotland at the earliest opportunity.

“The First Minister recognises the substantial economic benefits of relocating Britain’s nuclear submarine to West Wales. There would be more than a welcome in Wales for this kind of economic boost, which would bring thousands of high-quality and well paid jobs to the area. “The First Minister is of the view that he would be neglecting his duty to do what he can to boost the Welsh economy if he were to dismiss the possibility of bringing these jobs to Wales.”

But Plaid Cymru AM for Mid and West Wales, Simon Thomas, said the First Minister’s statement illustrated the Labour Government’s “lazy approach to policy development” and said its focus should be on plausible job creation schemes to boost the Welsh economy. He said: “Having failed to protect Wales during the economic crisis, the First Minister is now reduced to making ridiculous pronouncements which do nothing for his own credibility, and do even less for Wales’ image in the world. “He clearly has no grasp on reality if he believes that the people of Wales want nuclear weapons stored in Wales. “It would be far better for Wales for the UK government to do what Plaid Cymru has long called for – scrap the Trident project completely and spend the massive cost on plausible job creation schemes to boost our economy.”

A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said: “The Government is clear that Scotland benefits from being part of the UK and the UK benefits from having Scotland within it. “No plans for independence are being made, as the Government is confident that people in Scotland will continue to support the UK in any referendum. “We are therefore not making plans to move the nuclear deterrent from HM Naval Base Clyde.”

The prominent defence journal Defence Analysis argued earlier this year that Wales and not England could be a leading location for the nuclear submarine fleet.

Smith Commission: ‘More powers’ vow delivered – Claims David Cameron

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon shakes hands with Prime Minister David Cameron at the Scottish Parliament

By @ShaunyNews Via: http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/smith-commission-more-powers-vow-delivered-pm-1-3669009

Watered down ‘Edinburgh Agreement’ via the Smith Commission hailed by David Cameron as ‘Fair’ smacks of a liar and a cheat. For a second lets look to the ‘no voters’ in last years Referendum vote for Scottish Independence. People who voted no did so in the belief that a no vote would bring ‘Home Rule’ and a 99% free Scotland. Looking back as we now do we see that it was panic stations by David Cameron but for me the worst culprit in all of this was Ex Prime Minister and Labour Leader Gordon Brown. He stood there on live TV and promised the Scottish populous the Earth then he retired for a nice job working in the European parliament with his Wife. Mr Brown’s house is almost visible from my front door, just over the forth road bridge, he lied, he panicked the over 65’s into voting no, it was this age group in the end that made it a no vote, the irony in all this was in 1979 there was a referendum that Scotland actually won to be free but it never happened on some technicality. In the 1979 devolution referendum 52% of voters said YES as did 43 to 19 Scottish MP’s, The Labour Party said NO, by imposing an unheard of and made up on the spot ‘undemocratic 40% rule’. so back in 1979 Scotland Voted yes with promises as was in 2014 said, nothing was given in 1979, the age group that let us down in 1979 or the people who voted yes or no and seen the lies and betrayal are NOW the over 65’s in Scotland, ironic the generation of people who had lived the lie before, fell for the lies twice. Thankfully in a few years there 100% WILL be another Referendum or Scotland via the SNP with Plaid Cymru and the Green party could join Labour in Westminster for a 4 party coalition. If you don’t know the UK has a 2 party coalition Government at present with the Tory party and Liberal party. The Conservatives won 36% of the vote, Labour 29% and the Lib Dems 23%, They have 306 MPs – they needed 326 for a majority so it was a decision in the end by the Liberal Democrats to use their 23% to add to the Tory 36% and together get a 2 party Government over the line with over 326 seats at Westminster in the 2006 federal election as a minority government, so could we see an SNP/Plaid Cymru/Green Party holding up a minority Labour Westminster Government that will deliver the ‘Edinburgh Agreement’ and the ‘Vow’ AND MORE!! I say why not!

~~

DAVID Cameron pledged to press ahead with his plans to strip powers from Scottish MPs when he came to Scotland to say his pre-referendum vow on more powers for Holyrood had been delivered.

The Prime Minister said the pro-UK parties’ promise to strengthen the Scottish Parliament had been kept when the UK government yesterday published draft legislation to transfer new powers north of the Border. On a visit to Edinburgh, Mr Cameron said the new powers were “the right resting place” for devolution but added there would be no let-up on his plans to prevent Scottish MPs from voting on English matters at Westminster. The UK government Command Paper, containing 44 draft clauses, was published ahead of its Burns Night deadline and is a key milestone in the fulfilment of the “more powers” vow made by the leaders of all the pro-Union parties in the dying days of last year’s referendum campaign.

However, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon claimed the draft clauses had been “significantly watered down” from the proposals originally agreed by the Smith Commission, set up to consider new powers for Holyrood after last year’s independence referendum. Ms Sturgeon said: “Too much of what the Prime Minister has set out imposes restrictions on the recommended devolved powers and would hand a veto to UK ministers in key areas.”

The document, entitled Scotland in the United Kingdom – An enduring settlement, set out the “more powers” package arrived at by the Smith Commission last year. The package, signed off by all Scotland’s main parties, included the ability for Scotland to vary income tax bands and rates, further borrowing powers, control of air passenger duty and control over £2.5 billion worth of welfare. The prospect of a more powerful Scottish Parliament has seen Mr Cameron promise to resolve the “West Lothian Question” – the anomaly whereby Scottish MPs vote on areas reserved to Westminster such as health and education even though they do not affect their constituents.

Mr Cameron underlined his commitment to “English Votes for English Laws” (Evel) yesterday after Ms Sturgeon said this week that SNP MPs would begin to vote on English matters.

Ms Sturgeon said SNP MPs would abandon their policy of not voting on English health because NHS funding south of the Border had an impact on Scotland’s budget.

The Prime Minister said Ms Sturgeon was “wrong” to argue that MPs from Scotland should be able to vote on English health and education.

Mr Cameron said: “If I win the election, the government I lead will put in place the measures necessary to make sure that key element of English Votes for English Laws is delivered. “On [that] issue, I have been very clear. I think it is only fair as a Westminster Member of Parliament, I don’t have the ability to vote on Scottish health or education or Scottish housing. “I don’t see why in the future that SNP members, or indeed Labour, Liberal or Conservative members or Alex Salmond himself, should be able to come to Westminster and have a decisive say in English or Welsh education, health service or other issues. “So if I am your Prime Minister after 7 May, you will get in full these measures set out in this document, in a bill in the first Queen’s Speech of a government I lead. But there will also be very clearly set-out rules put in place so that English MPs have the decisive say on issues that only affect England. I think that is fair and right.”

As soon as the draft legislation was published, the SNP went on the offensive, claiming that the proposals were watered down and gave UK ministers a veto over welfare powers that were supposed to be devolved.

The UK government denied Ms Sturgeon’s claims, while Mr Cameron called on the SNP to start talking about how Scotland’s new powers can be used to improve schools and hospitals.

Mr Cameron said: “From my point of view this is the right resting place, we have now got a very strong Scottish Parliament raising the majority of its revenue. “There are more powers than most other devolved parliaments in the developed world. I certainly don’t want to spend the next five years debating, is that the right balance of powers. “Of course, some people will argue that there needs to be more changes. The SNP are already doing that. Of course they were never going to accept Smith as an outcome, because they want to break up the United Kingdom. “That is their prerogative, but we have demonstrated through a referendum that is not the will of the Scottish people.”

Ms Sturgeon claimed a clause dealing with the Universal Credit payment, the UK welfare reform that has seen the merger of several benefits into a single payment, amounted to a UK government veto. Although Universal Credit remains reserved to Westminster, under Smith’s package Scottish ministers are to be given the power to vary some of benefits within it. The clause said Scottish ministers should consult the Scottish secretary about making changes to Universal Credit and that the secretary of state should also give agreement about when a change should start.

Ms Sturgeon claimed that the welfare provisions did not enable the Scottish Parliament to create new benefit entitlements across devolved areas and required the approval of UK ministers for any changes to Universal Credit – including action needed to end the so-called ‘bedroom tax’. Ms Sturgeon said: “The proposals on welfare do not allow us to vary Universal Credit without the permission of the UK government. That means we will not have the independence to take action to abolish the bedroom tax. “At the same time, the power to create new benefit entitlements in any devolved area has simply not been delivered, while the Command Paper makes clear that, pending devolution of disability support, the roll-out of personal independence payments and the cut to spending on disability benefits will continue.”

Scottish Secretary Alistair Carmichael denied Ms Sturgeon’s claims. He claimed the clause in question had been inserted to ensure that there would be “consultation” between the two governments and added that “consent would not be unreasonably withheld”. He said: “It is going to be more important than ever that Scotland’s two governments are able to work together in a mature, co-operative and collaborative way. “It would be refreshing if instead of trying to kick up dust, the Nationalists would tell us what they want to do with the powers.”

Good news for the West of Scotland and Glasgow this. Also brilliant to see GOOD MONEY being spent on the right things by the Scottish Government. Soon when Scotland free’s herself more from London we can achieve more of this. The SNP have made a promise to fight tooth and nail for the NHS and this is a good start. I know we still have a ways to go but in the end the people of Scotland will decide our fate. I know many think Tory/UKIP coalition Governments are a real possibility but so is a Labour/Greens/Plaid Cymru/SNP Government for the UK where Wales and Scotland will get more freedom from London, this is very possible also. It is in our hands peeps, let’s keep it there. No Tory, Blue or Red

Scotland’s largest hospital is due to be officially handed over to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The new South Glasgow University Hospital campus cost more than £800m to build and will have more than 1,300 beds. The health board said it had been delivered under budget and ahead of schedule.

The facility is due to open to patients in May. Construction work began in early 2011 and it has been the biggest building site in Scotland. The new campus will bring major changes to the way healthcare is delivered across the west of Scotland – with maternity, children’s and adult hospitals all on one site. The Southern General campus will replace the Southern General Hospital, Western and Victoria Infirmaries, Mansionhouse Unit and Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill.

_80533456_crane

There will be space for 1,300 patients, mostly in single rooms, 29 operating theatres, and even a landing pad on the hospital roof, for rescue helicopters. In addition to replacing adult hospitals in Glasgow, the new South Glasgow University Hospital will incorporate a new teaching and learning facility and the Centre for Stratified Medicine and clinical research facilities. Up to 10,000 NHS staff will be based on the campus when it is fully operational. Building contractors, Brookfield Multiplex, are due to formally pass the hospital over to the health board later.

Living In Scotland. Living With Pain. Just Living. Thoughts? How Do We Define?

Life picture

By @ShaunyNews

Do you know where you come from? What you represent?

Do you know where you come from? What you represent?

Sheep or loner? Often we do things because it’s “What other people do” or “What society expects from us” We tug along with the rest of humanity and often we do it blindly. Try stepping away, in your mind, from that truth, or lie, and ask yourself how you feel afterwards. I did. Try it, seriously. Is Scotland full of sheep who listen to the media and idiots who think they know it all, or are we a people who keep away from the herd and see clearly what we need to? Curious if ANYONE ever reads this, but more curious to get an answer from EVERYONE who reads it. Sadly by nature nobody will type a thing first. If one other person wrote like I am, many would follow. Trust me. But you won’t…What you scared from? I Just would like to know! I see family and friends on the same path as everyone else, I stepped away from that path and amazing things happened to me. Doors opened I had no idea were even there.

So why do we stay with the flock Scotland?

Again, I know I waste my time. Scottish people I guess are as sceptical of social thinking of them than any other populous of any other nation in our World. I used to think “Oh what will people think of me” Now I don’t even ask. I just do. I freed myself from ‘Something’ No main stream God was involved, no religion was involved I read no books for guidance. I hate to talk about my Disability. Sadly many of you, yes you, will define me by my actions and words. I don’t care, so why do you? 😀

See we are all on a journey in life, the mass percentage have no idea they are on one, they wake up, have a shower, go to Work, come home, make tea, eat tea, sit down, watch TV, go to bed, have sex, wake up, have a shower, go to work…….. You get my point. I live in utter agony BUT I AM NOT ALONE. Many who read this are sore or ill or dying. I see a World around me of sheep. I see it more in real life than on-line. Many who really don’t fully understand the Internet will not understand what I am saying here. Bonds I have made 20 years ago, 15 years ago, 10 years ago, 5 years ago, last month/week, today and/or tomorrow are still there on-line. Sure we lose people but that is life, that happens no matter where we take our minds. Lately I have started to write, nearly 2 years now, I guess I am the Author of my own being these days. I am almost narrating my own life as I learn to live. Make sense?

I am writing where I am going

I am writing where I am going

I guess I am a free soul, I am not trapped by anything. I was on HEAVY medication till 4 days ago. In the last 4 days I have had less medication in these 4 days than I did in 12 hours of any given day I was on them fully. I came off a few weeks back to the heavy levels, I only really shared it a few days ago. I feel awake now. I read a lot of what I did when I was pumped with POISON the Dr gave me and some made sense, some never. I took a choice to take no drugs and live no matter. I don’t want a groundhog day existence, I want an existence where every living breathing moment I learn. I could not sit for one second and think “I know it all” because I don’t and neither DO YOU. You don’t. you think you do, you don’t

Many will read this and think “Is this aimed at me” Let me explain something to YOU. If you read this and thought “Is this aimed at me” then the answer is “This is aimed at you” BUT I never aimed at anyone, I aimed nowhere and at nobody. So if you thought I meant you, then look in the mirror, be honest and ask why you thought I meant “This was about you”

BE YOU

Many deny themselves a true life because they are scared of the hurt that always comes when you REALLY LIVE. I used to turn my back on love and friendship because I was once scared of losing. I didn’t like myself for that. So I changed, I became Shaun, free from medication, pain, loss, worrying, gossips, hate and all that hits us in life. Take hatred. I know many who feel hate, they take a person’s words and feel hated, I ask you to not take that hatred on board. Don’t become what others want you to be. Be you!! Love and take the loss and hurt when it comes. The reason I did this is I realised I am different first of all. I came to the conclusion I am ‘DIFFERENT’ I have changed, but you know, I LOVE WHO I AM NOW! I am happy, blessed in the sense I have feeling(s). I feel, I love, I breath at my own pace. I observe our World now, I write about it, it has become my ‘Art Form’ See when you do ANYTHING that others can’t for WHATEVER reason, inability, hatred, confusion whatever! You become fear, hate, worry, gossip and rumour driven.

I am free from all that now. I ask simply. Why can’t you be free? What is stopping you? I had one person tell me “I Work for a living unlike you” BEHIND MY BACK, lol. Yeah a person said this about me. I heard about it and smiled then I became sad. That person thinks I sit and pretend to be nothing and take what the World gives me. I feel sorry for you if you feel that way. I want Scotland to be a free country from the British Union. It is my ‘Art’ right now. It is what I research and write about. I write for my place in Scotland for a group of like minded people http://www.scot2.scot/ have a look for your area there. I write for and about West Edinburgh here https://www.facebook.com/pages/scot2scot-Edinburgh-West/361924177307818  So for anyone who thinks ‘Shaun lives for Shaun’ please, think again. I also run this page here for others who suffer, many less, many worse than I suffer, but I have to try and help everyone https://www.facebook.com/groups/699321140156812/ That is my page for ANYONE with any Chronic illness, this is an illness or disease that you will have for life or that will control your life. So please, never say “Shaun only talks about Shaun” to me.

Where did you learn how to be a person? From and by whom taught you?

Open your feelings, talk, be you. I know family and friends who I can’t speak to on the phone for over 2 minutes, they hide from feelings. I let them be. Like me, like you, they will find who they are. If it means they never show or allow feeling in then that is sad, not “That person is sad” It is sad in the term, unfair. But I can tell you unfair, I got a life taken from me. Did I sit and feel sorry for myself? No! I ran a football club for nearly 10 years, worked with kids for free all these 15 years I was in football. I am not showing off, I wouldn’t and couldn’t do that. All I am saying is, people like to assume, presume and guess with gossip also. So knowing the facts about life will help YOU become you and not the society made version you are told to be

Try it, please. Allow opinion, accept opinion, even if you don’t understand or believe in the opinion. Don’t get all worried about things you can’t change either. Don’t live in guilt, I used to be guilt but in reality is there anything we can do about the past? No, there is nothing. So what I have learnt and just recently as I wean of this Dr’s poison is “To be Shaun” But always look to others feelings best I can. As I come off my poison fully the pain will cripple me, literally cripple me. But I will fight it, not to point score or prove points, but for a Woman I love always. For 2 guys I have watched growing in to men and more so for two wee lassies (Little Girls out side Scotland) 2 wee lassies who are starting to be aware of what and who is around them. I MUST with the help of my partner make sure these 2 wee special princess of mine get to understand the World the same as their big brothers. I have to do that, I will never judge my kids nor show hate. Parents don’t do that, often with one of my sons they see anger, where in-fact it’s ‘Dad trying to teach’ I was that age once so I know what to look out for, lol

There is no book on 'Parenting' or being a good 'Partner' - We learn as we grow, or we lose!

There is no book on ‘Parenting’ or being a good ‘Partner’ – We learn as we grow, or we lose!

Life is precious, I don’t waste moments, I keep them. My Mum recently remarried, that was a moment, I keep it where it should be kept. Same as all moments. I smile and live and be free from the shackles of what life expects and more to what I ACCEPT. Live guys and gal’s, we have no other choice. You may be happy at 20 years old, but please know choices you make aged 20 will define where you are at age 40, I am told my one of my parents “What you do at 40 will define you when you are my age” I am lucky to have that wisdom around me. See that is what it is at the end of the day, we surround ourselves with people we can be ourselves around. We can relax with people we know care about us. Often it is not blood related, but that is fine, as long as you surround yourself with people who will mould you moving forward in life. I tried my best with my sons with my Partner and we nailed it, 2 amazing lads. Now we have the PRIVILEGETO DO IT ALL AGAIN WITH THE GIRLS. I CAN’T WAIT!!! 🙂

All I said above applied to you, anywhere in our World and whoever you are wherever you are and all in-between

Learn to smile, and mean it 😀

Shaun

Stupid thing to share here but so many people from all over the World ask me about the “Lone Piper” If you have seen ‘Braveheart’ they mention it there. Here in Scotland the ‘Lone Piper’ will often play at funerals as the hearse is driving away, weddings, kinda most things. Well this was outside the ‘Balmoral Hotel’ in the City Centre where rooms are £700 a night at the top end ($1,500)  Outside at night a lone piper will play for the guest and anyone passing, like me tonight. I can sit and watch a lone piper any time of year, the noise I think maybe only Scottish people can feel. There was a saying once around the 1300’s, the time of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce when Scottish people were banned from playing the Bagpipes by Longshanks the King of England or Edward the 1st, yeah there is ‘History’ that wants Scotland to leave this British Union. Many say to me “Britain had an empire through death” HOLD ON!! England had an empire, Scotland was being robbed, raped and murdered by the English around the same time. So that is the story of the bagpipes “Outlawed Tunes on Outlawed pipes” was the saying, you seen braveheart, you are there.

Anyway, Dawn the girls and I had been shopping like ALL DAY, we popped in to visit my Mum and headed home about 18:30, I don’t usually go through town, I use the motorway/freeway that circles Edinburgh. I am glad I took this route tonight. You will hear my Parter Dawn telling me to hurry up as the traffic was moving, then as I drive around the corner (Map below :D) I almost hit a curb and burst a tyre 😀 Anyway, enjoy, it’s short but I love this

SNP: voter registration raised – 800,000 could drop off – Not allowed to vote!!

This has been raised and timely as well. Many may be unable to vote in this years General Elections for reasons below. This is another attempt by the London ‘Elite’ to make sure Scotland is silenced again. We can’t let this happen. If you are unsure if you can or can’t vote – DO SOMETHING ‘NOW’ TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN VOTE! Don’t wait till the last week and you can’t vote. Act now!

SNP MSP Rob Gibson has written to the Electoral Commission to raise concerns over voter registration. Mr Gibson’s letter comes following news that hundreds of thousands of people in Scotland face being removed from the voters roll due to new regulations based on moving from household to individual voter registration.

Earlier this week it was reported in The Herald newspaper that as many as 800,000 people who signed up to vote in last year’s referendum may not be eligible to vote in the Scottish Parliamentary elections in 2016. Mr Gibson, SNP MSP for Caithness, Sutherland and Ross has now written to Andy O’Neill, head of the Electoral Commission Office in Scotland, seeking clarity on this and expressing concern at the manner in which people are being contacted.

Mr Gibson said:

“One of the great successes of last year’s referendum was the level of engagement and voter participation that swept across every community in the weeks and months before September 18. “Never before have so many people signed up to have their say in the democratic process in Scotland – it is vitally important that we aim to retain this level of voter participation. “The Electoral Commission’s transition from a household canvass of voters to individual registration in Glasgow alone has seen 100,000 fewer voters registered so far – and this could mount to 800,000 across Scotland if new means are not found to encourage voter registration in good time for the 2016 Scottish Parliamentary election.

“The letter I received from my local Electoral Registration Office did not make clear what elections this reregistration would impact on. It only informed me that I could not be re-registered because my date of birth and National Insurance Number were not sufficient identifiers. This letter was worded in an unnecessarily unhelpful way – I would urge a more open and engaging approach.

“I look forward to hearing back form the Electoral Commission; I hope they too share these concerns and can detail me with plans which will alleviate fears that the great expansion of our democracy in Scotland faces being reversed by current procedures.”
