Scotland and the World: Can we look to a World run by Woman for true Democracy?

ShaunBy @ShaunyGibson – Used to be @ ShaunyNews

I once used to think if the World was ran by woman we would have a better fairer World. Some of the rumours coming out of Westminster and also the US Senate are, well disturbing to say the least. Much of what I heard from Westminster, sadly, was when Thatcher was in charge, so can we say this? Can we say ‘Woman in Charge would be better’ Don’t get me wrong I love Nicola Sturgeon and have done so since she was a 16 year old student coming through to the political World. The progress this woman has made has been nothing short of astonishing. Then we have Leanne Wood, she climbed the same mountain in a man’s criminal party. Natalie Bennett needs a shout from the Green Party.

One thing all 3 of these Woman share is ‘THEY CARE’ And when we go to the polls we look for democracy to be real and for our leaders to lead, not take from us and leave us poor. The act’s of the Tory party the last few years and that of the American political system has left many much worse off. Poverty is real in both countries. I am led to believe the UK and USA are the two most powerful countries on Earth, for that reason I wanted an independent Scotland. I wanted Scotland to vanish like a rabbit in the woods and be like Sweden, Finland, Holland, Countries that just live and stay as far away from War. Every time the UK goes to War Scotland get dragged along kicking and screaming. We don’t want the Nuclear weapons, all of them, all of the UK arsenal kept in the West coast of Scotland in Faslane naval base

We will have a chance soon to rid our soil of these weapons of mass destruction

We will have a chance soon to rid our soil of these weapons of mass destruction

So the question I am asking you Scotland and anyone in the World I guess in any country is simple “Can ‘Woman Power’ lead us to the promised land” We are tied well with Wales, a bond that will be hard to break, we are one in the same. This togetherness with Wales may one day be the friendship that gets Scotland what it was offered promised then denied. We got some of the deal but nowhere near enough. I see a WORLD waking up, I see democracy in people and not in politicians, I see a need for love and caring for others in people but not in politicians, well some politicians are different. Alex Salmond, with nobody knowing gave 1/3 of his working salary to charity for many years, yet people say “Ahh but he will get 2 wages” The point being, Alex doesn’t rip his own people off to fill his pockets the same as the Tory party and the Red Tories have done, leading to 5 MP’s getting jailed, many more should have been. We go back to Thatcher, I hated this woman but I did not party in the street like half the UK did, I don’t party at death, but I had a small smile on my face for my Gran, Thatcher pulled half her pension and almost made her freeze to death. I left School and went into Thatchers YTS Scheme, like many in ‘Scotland only’ we worked a 39 hour working week for £29.50 + expenses. We can’t use Thatcher as a yard stick, she was evil, she took from the people and made people suffer and commit suicide, so don’t use this woman as a reason for your answer.

...Yet David Cameron, same Tory Party leader of this generation went to his funeral. Irony is a kicker huh?

…Yet David Cameron, same Tory Party leader of this generation went to his funeral. Irony is a kicker huh?

Angela Merkel the German Chancellor since 2005 came into a man’s political World as did many others, some in the past and some still in power. Would a World led by woman be a better World? Would woman be so greedy, so perverted, so willing to help friends and not those who voted them in. I say perverted there, I refer to the ongoing child abuse claims in Westminster and Whitehall. I believe this is a man’s society, a man’s world, we NEED more woman in power, in places where they can call things out. So again I ask simply, ‘Would a Woman’s World be a better World?’ The list below is every woman to have served as leader of their nation, do we need more?

15 People Who Disappeared Without A Trace

#15 ZEBB QUINN

Zebb Quinn is a truly bizarre case. The 20-year-old disappeared in Asheville, North Carolina on January 2, 2000 straight after friends reported that he got a page from his aunt’s phone number. His aunt denied ever paging him but told police her house was broken into around the time the page came through, and although nothing was stolen, all her things had been moved around.

Two weeks later, Zebb’s car showed up parked out the front of his mother’s workplace with a live puppy inside and a big pair of lips drawn on the window. No trace of Zebb was ever found and the case remains unsolved.

#14 ALESSIA & LIVIA SCHEPP

Their father picked up these 6-year-old twin sisters from Switzerland from their mother’s house on January 28, 2011. The father was found dead a few days later in what appeared to be suicide, but the girls were never seen or heard from again.

#13 JURE STERK

This 72-year-old sailor always made sure to communicate with radio operators regularly during his expeditions around the world. On January 1, 2009, an Australian conversing with Sterk on a ham radio claimed communication with the sailor ceased abruptly. His sailboat Lunatic was spotted almost a month later, and it appeared to be abandoned. Then on April 30, the crew of a science vessel called the RV Roger Revelle found the boat adrift and abandoned.

#12 ANDREW McAULEY

Australian adventurer Andrew McAuley set out to kayak 1600 km’s across the Tasman Sea in 2007 and was never seen again.

#11 TERRANCE WILLIAMS

27-year-old Terrance Williams was last seen on January 12, 2004 being arrested for driving without a license in Naples, Florida by Collier County sheriff’s deputy Steve Calkins. However, Williams never made it to the station and was never booked. Calkins claims he had a change of heart and decided to let Williams out at a local convenience store… the exact same circumstances he reported just three months earlier with Felipe Santos, who was also never seen again.

#10 MAURA MURRAY

This 21-year-old Massachusetts nursing student had lied to several professors on February 9, 2004, claiming there had been a death in the family and that she would be absent for the next week. She then had a minor car crash against a roadside snow bank, which left her car unable to drive. A passerby pulled over and asked if she needed help, to which she said no, but the passerby called the police from the nearest payphone anyway.

When the police arrived, the car was still there but Maura was gone and there were no visible footprints or sign of a struggle. Her fiancé received a voicemail of a woman sobbing the next day, presumed to be Maura Murray. Since then, no one has heard from her.

#9 BEN CHARLES PADILLA

Ben was a fifty-year-old licensed aircraft mechanic, flight engineer, and small airplane pilot working on a Boeing 727-223 with a helper when the plane was stolen from an airport in Angola on May 25, 2003. Apparently the control tower tried to communicate with the plane when it started crawling down the runway, but never got a response. Authorities claim Ben was at the controls and hijacked the plane himself, while other sources speculate his helper killed him and flew the plane to Somalia. The case was never solved and the plane, nor its passengers, was ever found.

#8 SNEHA ANNE PHILIP

31-year-old Indian American physician Sneha was last seen via surveillance footage in a shop near her lower Manhattan apartment on September 10, 2001. Given her medical training, her family believes she died trying to help victims in the World Trade Centre terrorist attacks of the following day, a theory that the courts have been happy to rule as official despite never really knowing for sure.

#7 RILYA WILSON

4-year-old Rilya Wilson was a foster child in the Florida Department of Children and Families. She was last seen in 2000, but it took the department an appalling two whole years to discover she’d gone missing and report it. This led to a huge investigation into the Florida foster care programme.

#6 THE CLAREMONT SERIAL MURDERS

Sarah Spiers (18), Jane Rimmer (23) and Ciara Glennon (27) all disappeared from the Perth suburb of Claremont over 1996 and 1997. The remains of two of the girls were eventually found in northern and southern suburbs of the city but one of them was never found at all and to this day no one has ever been charged.

#5 TARA CALICO

Tara (19) went missing near her home in New Mexico on September 20, 1988. A Polaroid picture of a boy and girl bound and gagged surfaced nearly a year later, and some friends and family identified the girl as Tara, though she was never found.

#4 CHRISTOPHER DALE FLANNERY

Chris was a famous Australian criminal figure in the eighties, with anything from armed robbery to rape and murder under his belt. But he was mainly known for his alleged status as a hitman available for hire, supposedly responsible for numerous murders. He left his apartment in May 1985 to go meet with his employer, and has never been seen again.

#2 FREDERICK VALENTICH

Frederick was piloting a solo flight over the Bass Strait in Australia when the 21-year-old reported an unknown craft circling his plane to air traffic control. Communications ceased shortly afterwards and neither he nor his plane was ever found.

#1 CONNIE CONVERSE

Connie Converse was best known for her singer-songwriter days in New York in the fifties. In 1974 she wrote letters to all her loved ones explaining she wasn’t satisfied with her life was turning out. Then she packed all her stuff into her Volkswagen Beetle and vanished into thin air, never to be seen or heard from again.

Pictures from the scene showed at least one carriage in a ravine and another hanging precariously from the tracks winding through mountains in the east of the country. Rescue helicopters were seen hovering over the train in the mountainous region of Graubuenden. Scores of passengers on board the carriages which managed to remain upright scrambled to safety and could be seen standing at the side of the tracks.
